I seen one too - pretty sure it was fake though, the 1876 on the back not being embroidered is the give away. I also noticed quite a few fake home ones (lighter red and printed on 1876)

Smith returning isn't going to improve us too much although what Smith does bring is championship experience and leadership qualities. Given our signings then those qualities are probably more valuable this season.

I'm all for this model. We couldn't go on with short term loans. Taking a step back for long term gains is fine - if it works. It is a huge season for our recruitment team. Scott and his new team of scouts will be aware of that. They don't all have to be successful but at least 2/3 of the buys have to show real quality and promise, otherwise next summer we really will be lost.

Be cheap and has championship experience. Also a different player to Silvera, Jones and Rodgers. Can pick a pass, clever around the box. We still need another striker but not against it at all.

Apologies if it's been mentioned already but Gibson was sat on his own the whole match. No Bausor and Scott (if he sits on same row as Gibson) to be seen. Hopefully away sorting deals.

What's promising is Latte Lath will only get better on what was a very good debut. Understandably desperate to impress, snatched at some things and was getting up to the pace of the game here. We need another quality player adding to the squad to compliment/cover Rogers and Lath.

We definitely need another striker. Given the club would ideally like Coburn to go out on loan then it seems a certainty we will bring another in.

Crooks has signed a new contract but I don't think that necessarily rules him out of being sold. Things change and QPR might offer him more game time. He isn't going to be a first team starter once signings are in and everyone is fit. Barlaser, Howson, Hackney competing for 2 spots in CM. Then McGree, Silvera, Forss, Jones and a new signing potentially in front of him for those 3 spots behind the striker.

Team could be a lot different come Huddersfield. If Engel, Lath, McGree, Howson, Forss started we would look a lot stronger.

Think it is €6.5m including all the potential extras.

I always thought he was half decent but got to agree he isn't good enough for the championship. Club have made a mistake keeping Coulson as LB cover over Bola. This Danish lad is hopefully the real deal.

It is worth mentioning the last time we went up we purchased proven quality the summer before in Downing and Nugent. Then got Rhodes, Ramirez during the season. If the club thought this buying potential policy would get them up this season they are clearly wrong. However, if the plan is to go up at some point in the next few years then we will just have to suck up an average season and hope they come good.

Be interesting to see how they go about replacing Akpom. He was a lot more than a goal scorer for us. We need a proper number 10 - not easy and could be expensive.

It's a bit of a myth that you have to wait for years to judge the DoF. You need to give time to the young players they bring in of course. But other things you can definitely look at and I'm sure Gibson will be. He is the director of football. We have started the season without a striker, a LB and a RB.

This. Barlaser coming off felt really bad judgement to me. He was getting into his groove. I presumed Hackney would be coming off for Howson.

As I said in other thread. Considering how much the club has invested in changing the model and hiring DoFs, head of scouting etc it's *** poor we are starting games without a striker. You bring that sort of model in to not get caught out like that.

It is concerning how much trust the club has put in Kieron Scott. Let's hope he hasn't had an absolute nightmare.

What's worrying is Coventry were a bit flat coming into this match. We just had nothing in the first half and they have sort of stumbled upon a win.
