Odd game. We were shocking between our goals but started to play after we equalised. that’s probably it now but stranger things have happened

Shocking performance and the epitome of typical Boro! 3 behind Latth non existent and midfield weak. Not much on the bench so they need to buck their ideas up second half.

Possibly a point too high for O’Brien imo but otherwise spot on. Agree Thomas was very poor. Had high hopes for him but he has done nothing for me in his time here. Thought we were ok against an abysmal SW side. Thought we should have had 2 other penalties as well but will take that. Decent from Greenwood also. Missed the penalty but hardly a disaster and a constant menace. Said it before but there is a player in there and next season , wherever he plays, is likely to be big for him.

Great point. Any club doing as well as we did with “projects” would be well pleased. Key in the summer is to balance that with a few nailed on first teamers and you have to hope we have already earmarked our targets

I genuinely don’t think the likes of Greenwood and Silvera should be binned . our squad is decent enough ( when fit!) . If we had played most of the season with a fully fit Hackney, Lenihan, Latth and Jones in the team we would have been able to let the “projects “ dip in now and again from the bench. We obviously need a replacement for Howson and an additional striker or two plus a RB but other than that if we keep this squad we shouldn’t be far off.

Agree Ipswich have been fantastic but have had a settled team. I still wonder what we would have done without our horrendous injury record. Ah well there is always next season. Mind you I will probably be saying the same thing next March!

Bloody awful game but all that matters is the 3 points at this stage of the season. Thought Ayling played well and Rav ok as well. Clarke was good attacking the ball but pretty poor with the ball at his feet. Not impressed by O’Brien also as he gave the ball away too often for my liking. Great goal though , decent strike and great set up by Ayling. You would be surprised if Brum stay up on that showing as they were appalling. Little surprised he kept Latth on to be honest as he is needed on Saturday.

Agree to disagree on that one . Would have been raging if it was the other way round but you take your luck where you can. Have to say that as dominant as Norwich were before the sending off they were equally as poor afterwards so I will happily take the 3 points.

I feel slightly embarrassed to celebrate our goals here as that was one of the worst sending offs you will ever see. Norwich with 11 men would probably be out of sight now but I guess we will take anything we can.

Bit harsh Al . Man did well last season and been hamstrung by injuries and transfer policy this year. Agree this spell will make or break him though

Assume you have the person in mind who is willing to chuck millions at a mid to top end championship team in the unfashionable north in the hope we will get to the promised land one day. If you have his number I am sure Gibbo would love to hear from him

Ridiculous to sack Carrick but agree this will be a huge learning curve for him. The loss of Jones , Forss, Hackney, Coburn, Latth , Smith for large parts of the season has killed us , with Jones in particular being a huge loss for his pace. clearly a big recruitment job in the summer but not time to panic. If on the other hand Carrick gets the players he wants in the summer and fails to get us to at least the playoffs then it would be a different story.

Might just be me but I prefer my commentary with a full dose of rose tint. Better than the likes of Goodman et al when we are on Sky.

Typical Boro. I was quite relieved that I couldn’t get a stream of the game earlier. Now I am back again working out bloody playoff permutations. it really is the hope that kills 😅

Well , I was relieved earlier that I couldn’t pay my tenner… maybe this Carrick fella knows what he is doing after all! to be fair I doubt there is a Boro supporter who thought we would be 2 up at ht …. massive half coming up .

Surely that’s the last time we see Djiksteel - That was as bad a cameo as you could wish to see. we are a “nearly” team at the moment but the lack of a fit forward has again killed us. I also think Jones has been a big miss. He is inconsistent as hell but his pace at least gives us an option. You would think that is the playoffs done now but we keep the faith and pray for a miracle. Azaz looks a good buy though. We just need a lot more. Big big summer ahead.

The best team is losing but lacking in quality in the box. Looked a penalty but haven’t seen a replay so will have to see that. I would move Forss central second half but doubt it will happen.

Reckon that will be the team as well Happy enough with Greenwood up front. He did ok at the weekend - keeper saved a couple and there was a very dubious offside to chalk off a decent goal.
