Despite my misgivings on seeing his selection, I thought Mr Ward had a reasonable game. Got most of the major decisions right and don't recall any major howlers. Let a few fouls go early on but clamped down when it was needed. Enjoyed seeing the Millwall player's reaction when he got a yellow for delaying the free kick and although it cost us a possible chance, thought he was correct to stop the game swiftly when it looked like there was a possibility of a head injury. Bailey definitely left back. Cooper and Spike interchanging as "outside/inside lefts" with one overlapping the other. think Cooper often utilised as a type of wingback also part of the time.

Yup... The most complimentary thing I heard about him is that he shows no bias.. he is poor with everybody. I know it is not the easiest profession, but he is one of the ones who regularly makes decisions that just baffle me

I was impressed by the number of assists Giles achieved last year but his positivity did leave us open at times. As one of the family said, is a player that stops an equivalent number of goals being conceded less vital to our success. The key to advancement is contributions from more players so that if one player is absent or loses form, there is someone else that can step in. Agreed. If things are leaking into real life, then the only sensible decision is to put the welfare of yourself and your family first. Might be worth considering a new identity if you ever want to restart as you won't have any "history" to be waved at you. I have always believed that to a large extent you just passed stuff on that you heard, but there are some that have triggers that are activated when their favourites become involved and no amount of clarification will change their attitudes.
