Divn't be daft. Great start to the season. There's obviously a direct correlation between the oppositions performance and our best midfielders just drifting around like fog. We've dropped off the last 20 minutes....

What's up with Hackney? He's happy to run the short distances to nip at opposition players when they're in possession and then seems happy to hide behind an opposition player when the balls with our back 3? In-between just jogging round the centre circle....

I watched the Glen Little podcast yesterday and he talks regards the Burnley team not wanting the ball when Hoddle was in charge whilst they were down the bottom of the table. I wonder if the Boro players (if they were candid) would say they feel the same way at the moment following the poor run of form?

The point I was articulating was (and before, which drew the same reaction). Are these issues demonstrating a bigger issue. There’s always a ‘lag’ of many years t’ll players advise of dissidence and bitterness amongst the dressing room. Typically disclosed in a podcast or interview. Carrick has to be up there with the best English midfielders of the last 20 years. I don’t doubt he has the managerial capabilities to be appointed as a ‘football’ manager. I think ‘some’ of the players would be more receptive if he took a more ‘aggressive’ and candid approach. How refreshing would that be if he ‘grounded’ one or two and we’d see as fans where the players allegiance was. Aka Rashford & Garnacho.
