  1. I think it's largely irrelevant tbh. Saville wasn't the worst signing ever made.. and if Pulis was wrong about the whole captain thing, fair play - Fergie signed Phil Jones for £18m saying the same about Man Utd.. The biggest issue is the fact that summer the club sold Traore & Bamford and didn't replace them at all. (fast forward to this summer and the exact same thing happens with Tavernier). If Traore and Bamford had either stayed or been adequately replaced, I'm pretty sure Pulis would have got us up. the squad was pretty thin before losing those two players.
  2. 1) the George Saville transfer is the same old boring argument trotted out yes - selective memory imo. I definitely remember Pulis was fuming about the fact we failed to sign 2 other players that day, can't remember who they were now but sure they were attacking players. I'm pretty sure the way it goes is Pulis gets told the club are going to sign all 3 - only to fail miserably and sign the only player we could've lived without. People talk on here like Pulis went out of his way to say "oi Bauser, get me a bang average Championship midfielder please, we already have 5 of them but I need one mo
  3. tbh I cba engaging a Pulis debate with you guys on here cos the same blinkered opinions get regurgitated ad nauseam. best to just let y'all blame everything on Pulis
  4. not his £50m though, and they all basically proved to be $hitt3rs so I think you can forgive him for focussing on pretty much the only player we had who could actually influence a game. and tbh, those Adama games were epic to watch imo. Also, Pulis was crippled the next season by having to sell both Adama and Bamford in the same summer wasn't he? unless I'm remembering it wrong but I cba to check tbh. added to the usual crap transfers - I definitely remember him raging about the club failing to sign the main players he wanted.
  5. tbh given all the choices on the table, none particularly get me hyped.. so *** it, if it's Cattermole I'll be ok with it. This season is lost now anyway. I'd rather build to the future and if Catts comes in and brings through some young players then happy days - HAckney looked great against Birmingham, to the point where you've seriously got to question why Wilder didn't play him
  6. every appointment is a risk, but if you're saying that what those two guys have achieved in the game isn't good enough for us then who is? also, they're coming in as assistants/coaches, not managers. and in fairness Wigan and Hull aren't exactly the easiest of teams to manage. IMO they're the massive plus point of appointing Carrick
  7. crazy decision if so. par for the course with gibson though to an extent/ SG: do you want downing? AK: no thanks SG: ok well I've bought downing
  8. haha yeah, it's a good song but man do they rinse it. It's better than the abysmal "South stand/North Stand red army" nonsense though tbf
  9. tbf it's hard to argue against this.. he's consistently made bad decisions since the UEFA Cup final in 2006
  10. Jones has been pretty crap so far this season imo, so hopefully getting dropped is gonna wake him up a bit
  11. hopefully. Although I've hated all the recent white 3rd kits we did with Hummel, so not gonna get too hyped
  12. oh nice, looks like it's got some potential to be decent too
  13. I'm starting to agree tbh, I cba with every job that comes up Wilder is the first name on the list
  14. yeah Dijksteel is looking great atm, seems to be really stepping up to the plate
  15. Dijksteel deffo feels like first choice RCB in the Wilder system now
  16. get a dodgy amazon fire stick and just use that imo. the iFollow channels
