When you say 'produced' do you mean came through the academy over the age of 16? Because there are also lots who leave at 16 and below who go on to have careers in football also. Thee are bloody loads if you include non leagues and what not. Will knock up a list later but you're looking at a little time, players like Van Geele are still active in their homeland, Nordgren also. Players like Jonathan Hogg left pre 16, local non league players like Leon Scott at Darlo and the Marske keeper who's name eludes me were both academy players who left aged 16. Few who had scholarships went

  10. Lewis Sirrell's game for Gateshead was postponed also.
  11. Matthew Dolan barring paperwork problems will join Bradford tomorrow morning until the end of the season on loan. Now, i know people will ask how he can join in the emergency loan window till the end of the season. Well he is joining on a youth loan, and they can be extended longer then the usual 93 days of an emergency loan! http://www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/news/article/dolan-deal-in-place-1344554.aspx? 14. Hahaha i once thought about doing that but nah, i do take a little flak from time to time but its worth it
  15. I can write what i want, i dont work for the club. Although i do know agents and club representatives do read the forums and sometimes things get back to them doing a academy bit shouldnt kick up much of a stir.
  16. reporting guidelines? Will knock something up after i watch the U18s saturday
  17. Its a tough balance you dont want to get rid of everyone experienced and end up throwing players in and damaging them. If we are looking at centre backs then for me, we need to get Jackson fit after injury and loan him out to get him experience. Burgess has looked the real deal when ive seen him, talented on the ball physically strong and tall. For me he could step in where Hines is now. Ayala, Gibson, Burgess, Woodgate/Williams. Not a bad group. Additionally there are 2 centre backs who are first years who both look fantastic. They, if they progress as they could, could possibly both be
  18. no spanish law states they must have it. But its not even that simple as a release clause. Spanish clubs can make people pay more because they can technically say thats the amount AFTER tax! so it stops foreign sides taking players when they dont want to sell!
  19. The first year attacking midfielder is Callum Cooke, England U17 international and a very good player. Ive hardly seen Melling due to working, so i wont comment. Brazilians left 19th November. The club has put something in the summer saying they had signed 1 year professional deals. Rhoden was actually loaned for a year as Ituano held his playing rights, Rafael was transfered to Boro as his paperwork went through the CBF. Both are back at Ituano now. Reach isnt out of contract so i dont think he will be released just yet. The problem with Dolan and Williams more so is
  20. Cam Park is the year below Smallwood academy wise and the year above Gibson.
  21. Its happened abroad, it couldnt have happened with Bale as he wasnt in the period of time in his contract where he could give notice of buy out. Additionally he didnt have a buy out price either like they do in spansh law Its called article 17 if i remember right, a player under 28 can give notice 3 years after the contract was started, players over 28 give 2 years. Its not been used many times, and not in a high profile way that English fans would notice anyway.
  22. I think the production line was shifted to the back burner. Whilst in the glory years we had top academy products like Downing, Johnson etc we also had filler players like Kennedy, John Johnson, McMahon, Graham a*** a few. Now i feel in recent years, well under Mowbray (im sure i will get hammered because certain people feel nothing wrong can ever be said about this hero, this titan!) that the stock players were there but they were brought in players. Haas, Zemmama, Martin, Haroun, Arca (when brought back) and Dyer all brought in by Mowbray none holding down first team positions all sho
  23. I like Matty, he is very good player. Great left foot, can tackle and physically he wont ever be intimated. Cant help but feel though his path has been blocked along the way by poor decisions by others. He probably should have gone out on loan earlier than he did last season. Is one of the midfield players who seem to have had countless squad players ahead of him. Players who made little impact themselves like Martin, Haroun, Zemmama, Thomson, etc etc Made great strides at Pools, seems like he isnt wanted, not even sure if he has been offered a deal if not he will probably end up at Br
  24. We CAN sign free agents, but they must have been free agents before the window closed. Otherwise what stops a club giving a player the money to buy out his contract then having him sign for them?
