I sort of predicted it really, that Gibson would come out with some stupid PR soundbites and would give all the bravado of "get behind the lads, he has my backing" etc etc. The line about backing Woodgate regardless STINKS of Agnew Mark 2, when it was clear that he was out of his depth but we still persisted until a completely uneventful relegation. I feel for the gazette in a sense, that article is just pure propaganda the East Germans would've been proud of.

I still don't understand how he's in a job. I genuinely don't think any other club in this division would have kept him in a job producing the results he has. Were the only club I know of that seemingly awards incompetence and failure by keeping him in a job

To be honest this season has the feeling similar to that of Ipswich last season in the championship, in which they gutted their team tried to make it on league 1/2 quality players with a young manager and then subsequently got relegated. Only real difference I can see is we kept some of our senior players, and our manager is a total and complete novice. If we go down we will be right up the proverbial creek especially with contracts expiring and a wage bill still exceptionally high

Just confirms what I've said earlier. He's untouchable. No matter what happens he'll be the manager. It's an absolute joke. How on earth can Gibson be happy with the club teetering on the edge of league 1? Is he honestly that proud that he'll just refuse to remove him? I'd love to know what the renewals are going to be like for next season, I know I'm not renewing for this shower next season. Gibson doesn't care so why should i?

I honestly don't see where it stops. Honestly think that Woodgate is bullet proof and Gibson is ready for us to go to league 1 only to deliver some crappy PR rallying cry in the summer about "oh we didn't expect it but we'll get behind Woodgate and the team and bring us back to the championship". Honestly this season has been such a disaster, even from the carabao cup game I knew this was going to go belly up. I'm genuinely just sick of the club right now, the amateurish way we're ran, a chairman stuck in the 90's, a press that are sh*t scared of criticising the club and the chair

I think what's amazed me most about this season isn't the crap football, but how mute our local media have been. It's like they've been castrated as of lately they're absolutely terrified to call out the table position and results for what they are, which is horrendous. I can't remember who it was but someone said that Maddo who I have a lot of respect for was trying to defend us getting beat yesterday, if that's the case then my goodness

Enough is enough. The project has failed, get this muppet and his Poundland coaching team out and get a Warnock in to see us through till the end of the season. Absolutely pathetic. The decline of our club is absolutely depressing.

It's a disgrace I don't want to hear any excuses/defence of Woodgate. Apart from one good spell we've been absolutely disgusting. How the hell can we go from challenging top 6 to fighting bottom 3 in a matter of a season? Everything that we were known for, our defensive spirit and grit is gone. We've got a coaching staff packed full of amateurs, a manager who is so out of his depth it's scary. No way in hell am I paying 490 quid for this next season.

I'm going to be really honest, I was ever so slightly concerned from preseason about how this was going to go. When we were struggling against the likes of Salford and Gateshead and just scraping last them alarm bells were quietly ringing, but of course I would've been a fool to judge it from that alone. As the season progresses I find my self more and more concerned about how the state of play is. We can't put 2 passes together, were blunt in attack, our midfield is non existent and our defence is consistently vulnerable. The Christmas purple patch could end up being the one thing

I've said for some time that we could very easily qualify as one of those 3 had teams. We're letting this happen without a chance of any improvement. Abysmal.
