Warnock. Retires (for the 473rd time). Signs 8 match contract with Boro. Keeps Boro up with 2 games to spare. Can't resist the allure of one more season in management, for a club and chairman he's alw

Agree with those saying don’t get carried away etc. But when you say “on another day if stoke had scored there chances we’d have lost 3-2”, you also have to factor in that on another day we could/shou

Well we rode our luck at times but well done Mr Warnock for overseeing a vastly improved team performance and great result.

More of the same please.

So obvious today that there was real experience on the touch line and a Manager willing to impose himself

It took Neil Warnock 45 minutes to demonstrate what an appalling appointment Woodgate was. He's already got the team playing more cohesively and positively, with stronger individual performances than his predecessor could manage in 40 games.

Our squad is nowhere near bad enough to be League One standard. We've been almost criminally mismanaged for most of this season. There is simply no substitute for experience when it comes to appointing a manager. I really hope the penny will finally drop with Gibson after this, whether he appoints Warnock, Hughton, Jokanovic or anyone else for next season.

Not sure experience is the thing. Robson and Karanka had no experience of management but had been around great managers.

Monk had plenty of experience in this league and was crap for us. I think having a clue helps and not switching from the dressing room to the dugout.

Today showed how badly we have been managed this season. The main difference today was that although it wasn't brilliant people looked like they knew what the manager was asking of them. Our shape on and off the ball was better.

Big big game coming up.

Just finished work. Had a look in. Seen the result. Brilliant. Dont care how we played. Really dont care about dissecting the performance. Right now and until the end of the season. All that counts is the result. Well done Warnock. Hats off. Keep it up sir.

Warnock. Retires (for the 473rd time). Signs 8 match contract with Boro. Keeps Boro up with 2 games to spare. Can't resist the allure of one more season in management, for a club and chairman he's always had a soft spot for. The Mrs is just happy to get rid of him for another year. Finishes 2nd in his first full season with Boro, 4 points behind recently relegated Villa. Cannot turn down the temptation of one final shot at PL management. Signs 1 year deal. Keeps Boro up on the final game of the season with a point at The Amex. Standing ovation from the Boro faithful, Warnock in a flood of tears. Forever inscribed in Boro folklore. Retires (for the 474th and final time).
