Smogzilla 7,385
Current mood: 1433395-main_image.webp Welcome, ladies and gents, to the next stop on the Middlesbrough Football Clubs Sadness Express (tm) Your final destination is: LEAGUE ONE *sobs* Our unfortunate new leader, Mr Warnock, seems unable to prevent us from heading to disaster. Players low on confidence and belief. Fans negative. Club looks doomed. This means that we will, of course, pull off a massive win in the capital and surprise everyone! Get your miserable pre-match musings and predictions in before kick off. For some reason this game kicks off at 3pm on a Wednesday. I suppose this is par for the course in 2020. I just realised that I've had to cut my own hair more times than Boro have won a game this year. That is 2020 in a nutshell 🙃 Some important questions to consider: What changes would you make for this game? Is boro's only hope of survival Wigan's point deduction? You have to fight either Kevin Blackwell or Ronnie Jepson. Which would you pick and why?
thomas 501
The players are that abject and low on confidence atm if we try out play Millwall, we will get beat so id go for (first 80 mins) - .............................Pears................................. Diijksteel...Moukidi..Fry......Friend....Coulson Howson..........Clayton...Saville..............Nmecha ................................Britt................................. Focus on keeping a clean sheet and building confidence up, while sapping millwalls confidence, you tell everyone if in doubt launch it up the field no taking risks, no silly freekicks. Hopefully tire them out in the process. Id then in last 10 mins switch to smash and grab mode - ....................................Pears.................................. Howson.....Moukidi........Fry......................Coulson Roberts..........Morrison....Mcnair.................Tav ........................Britt.....Fletcher.......................... AnglianRed 6,229
What changes would you make for this game? Well I'd at least try playing defenders in defence and midfielders in midfield...see how that works out. Other than that, I'm not sure it makes any difference what team or formation NW goes with. Is boro's only hope of survival Wigan's point deduction? Certainly looks that way, based on the evidence so far. The guy is Boro and the rope represents our Championship status...in case you hadn't guessed. You have to fight either Kevin Blackwell or Ronnie Jepson. Which would you pick and why? What're you lookin' at? You want some? Cos I'll fight you all if I have to. Yeah I'm drunk...so what? Anyway, back to the match. Millwall are sitting pretty comfortably in the league and are still in with a shout of the play-offs. They score marginally more than they concede and are the Championship draw specialists with 17 so far - more than any other team. Recent form has been a bit patchy - W2 D2 L1 but they will still easily pull Boro's shorts down and give us a good spanking on Wednesday. Prediction: Millwall 3 - 0 Boro. Downsouth 6,175
Well some positives is that we have never lost a game played on a Wednesday at 3pm! Boro fans will not be heckled by spotty juvenille Millwall fans. No seats will be uprooted and thrown onto the pitch. So all in all a great time for another away win. Team selection up to the boss just hope the players themselves are fed up with being the anti -idols of Teesside and will make amends, he says in confidence having already travelled into the future😏 Oh come on Blanco did say that I needed hope!

Blimey 3-0 to Millwall why so negative, I'm going 2-0 to Millwall, come on 3-0 be a bit more positive.
Old Codger 3,039
I can.t decide whether we'll win because everyone expects us to lose ....or that we will lose because everyone expects us to win because we are expected to lose....so I am going for a draw
TeaCider24 12,401
Would snap your hand off for a draw if Hull lose afterwards.
scottpilgrim 28
We are relegated. The players, warnock, the club and tha majority of fans know it. Wigans situation doesnt matter as current form shows they would overtake us along with Barnsley and Luton. The club now needs to plan for the future and that means getting the few sellable assets on their Summer hols and away from risking an injury. Well I would have said 2-0 but then I figured we're about due to concede a daft penalty, or someone will make a dangerous challenge and get a straight red card. Its usually the kind of thing that happens when you're in this position and the players have pretty much given up.
Denzel Zanzibar 6,931
Can't see us beating Millwall. Can't see us beating anyone for the rest of the season, tbh.
BoroAbroad 321
Well we are dire. No question about that. But I still honestly believe (or is it hope?) That we are still too good to go down if the players actually get their acts together. I am going with a 1-1 draw. And I am predicting we will finish 5th from bottom. And I am predicting I will get home for Christmas. Feel them positives Boro....... Feel them. 🤪🤪🤪
TLF10 4,440
Stojanovic Fry Harold Friend Spence Wing Howson Coulson Roberts Fletch Britt We are probably going to lose. I stuck Wing in there in hope he might hit one from distance which takes a deflection of someones *** and goes in. It is probably our best hope of scoring.
mj south 610
Want to be solid, so go for a Karanka style 4231 Pears Djiksteel, Fry, Moukudi, Coulson McNair, Saville Roberts, Morriston, Tav Fletcher McNair and Saville both box to box, wide forwards cutting in with full backs overlapping to provide the width. Could work?
