West Brom hope to sign Galatasaray striker Mbaye Diange in time to make his debut on Saturday.
With Snodgrass already on board & if they get this fella from Turkey, any chance Matt Phillips is allowed to leave?
I don't agree with this. We have produced some really good and really flat performances but with the group we have there is no doubt NW is getting the best out the squad. Last night I really felt the absence of Dijksteel and Fry and defence and the craft of Tav in attacking postions. Our lack of height and physicality just did not match up to that of Rotherham, but there wasn't a huge amount of options to change that. I didn't agree with all of NW's decisions last night, not least a straight swap with the strikers instead of adding the second striker but I think given how the season has gone and progressed from last and the resources he has it's unfair to blame his formation and tactics. If you blamed the clubs lack of transfers on the other hand...
Your facts would have said Gaston Ramirez would have been rubbish too. The lad was on his way out of European football, going back to Uruguay, and he turned out to be the best attacking player we've ever had in the Championship since '09.
We get it, you don't want him here. But as far as we know now, he's signing. Get behind the lad. You gain absolutely nothing by being right.
I'm indifferent in my opinion on Bolasie - I can see both pros and cons.
Ultimately it is a risk but the same can be said for all transfers.
Maybe this is a bigger risk.
Maybe he didn't tear up the championship at Villa.
Maybe he needs Warnock to get the bets out of him.
Who knows?!
But I for one, am happier if we have another player in a squad we all think is too thin.
