The Gazette will bring us an exclusive tour of Kevin Blackwell's unfinished kitchen. 👍

This mildly excites me

If you are using the car park nearest the old steel works...stay clear of the bushes or the rats will eat the loser

I went to that apprentice school, before the strike!

It's a website devoted to a different kind of entertainment that sometimes, but not always, still involves balls.

Oh we don't do that here...its like catching chickens

Sadlier would be a decent Free Agent too. Again, think he's only been mentioned here.

Can play centrally or as a wide forward, so would suit numerous systems.

See he has just signed for Rotherham.

Whilst you lot were slagging each other off, I took at bit of time to look into the stats on a few players that have popped up on here.

I've looked into what I consider are defensive stats for a few midfielders. We are obviously targeting a more defensive (holding) type midfielder hence being openly linked with Amos (If the Gazette are to be believed). I've looked at Kevin Stewart (Free Agent), Luke Amos (Spurs - low fee reported), Sam Morsy (Realistic due to Wigan's relegation?) and Josh Cullen (West Ham, was on loan at Charlton) - who would be my choice. Obviously stats are not everything, but they can help paint some of the picture.

Disclaimer: I have used WhoScored as it seems one of few websites that has more detailed stats, outside of appearances, goals and assists. Obviously pro teams will have things like WyScout which will have a huge number of statistical categories available and much more detail in those stats.

Edit: Graph goes upto 3.5 (per game) in intervals of 0.25. Stewart has 3.4 tackles per game for reference.

Stats are not everything!😱😱

Please don't tell @Changing Times as he thinks that backs up his argument every time

You mean, "Rumours are Gestede has gone back to France"?

This was the day before Warnock had the conversation with Gestede, and Gestede refused to play on until the end of the season, so Warnock told him he could go home.  So he in fact hadn't gone back to France and was at training the very next day.

Hmmm 🤨

I got the information, and it proved to be correct.

You have too much time on your hands, and after seeing how other people perceive you on here I'm happy to leave you to it.

Have a nice night.

To be fair, that would be probably more exciting that the current transfer window.

Just to cover CT’s back a bit.

Here only uses stats 78% of the time for general discussion. He then will use stats 93% of the time when trying to iterate a point.
However this jumps to 99.9% of the time of someone has a contradicting viewpoint.
However he only uses stats 37% of the time effectively against 65% of posters

True story 😉

Whats Porn hub ?

A friend of a friend (no relation to George) tells me it involves a lot of dribbling and occasional juggling but not necessarily in that particular order!

I could put my top 3 types of oranges up here and he'd probably moan that there were no apples in it!

    • I think people are getting carried away in believing NW will build a potential promotional squad next season, were as I believe he is employed to balance the books with bargain bin players for championship sustainability.  I don’t believe NW signed to ensure promotion only then to walk away if it was achieved, because the squad would need to be rebuilt to maintain its position. Like I said I believe his role is to mop up and leave, which makes sense simply because he is not building for the following season and has nothing to prove or answer for, he trots off into retirement, after balancing the books with  a team that can reasonably compete in a league the town can afford.
    • I have watched some higlights different angles from the first Swansea goal .. If the ball doesnt deflect off Spence .. It would be off target across the box
    • I agree with all that but I'm talking about next season rather than this one and the parameters that Warnock may have to work with and in the context of some of the names and amount of new players being suggested on here generally. Not wishing to dampen the enthusiasm in any way but I think there will need to be a harsh new financial reality in football generally and with Boro in particular.  I'm speculating that £12M is the absolute minimum wage bill but SG might be willing to find more funds. A full season without gate income at the Riverside, Bulkhaul hit by Brexit and the Hotel closed for the last 12 months will have had a significant hit. Out of the eleven mentioned, Bettenelli, McNair, Hall, Howson, Saville, Bolasie, Akpom, Fletcher, Kebano, Roberts and Assombalonga, six of them, (Bettenelli, Fletcher, Bolasie, Kebano, Roberts and Assombalonga) won't be there and if in the case of Fletcher for example is here it won't be on the same terms. I'm guessing that Hall is nearer the £10K a week purely from reports around the time of his transfer leaving just McNair, Howson and Saville on the bigger salaries. How much we are contributing to Bolasie, Kebano and Bettenelli's wages at the minute I have no idea but it is probably eye watering.
