it's a free country...but why aren't you in the bushes at Rockliffe?....being serious, if things haven't changed much by weekend, then there is a case...but I still think we have at least a mid-table squad and after last year, I can live with that

No because worrying wont change anything and life is too short, we want a healthy KM emerging from bushes

the reality is, we could do deals soon or have an influx in the days before window closes. We are fairly helpless in the time period, as selling teams and out of contract players have the position of power.

I am hopefuly we get a few surprises in over the next few weeks though and then a few loans

If their wage demands weren't wild if I had a choice I'd be looking at these Centre Backs: Naby Sarr (Charlton), Mike Van Der Hoorn (Swansea) and Timo Letschert (Hamburg). All under the age of 30 and all free agents.

Deep down I do think Van Der Hoorn is out of our reach financally and footballing level. Think he has come out and said he wants to play at the top level and specifically mentioned the Prem or Bundesliga. Sarr and Letschert I think would be within our reach financially.

How many of these players would you say we actually miss and need to replace or re-sign? only Ayala and Roberts I'd actively miss, the rest were either awful or over the hill

In terms of improving the first team as it stands Ayala and Roberts I'd say.

In terms of improving the squad, probably just Shotton, Friend and Moukoudi. 

Gestede, Clayton, Morrison and Nmecha are not missed.

Actually I agree with Moukoudi

I think with Friend and Shotton we are looking at them with a bit of a positive hindsight in terms of last seasons performances/inconsistencies, if Sam Stubbs or Wood have a half decent season they should be better

Absolutely. But it just points out how short in numbers we are. Right now we’re probably one or two injuries away from a crisis. Not only do we need to add some quality but we need to beef up the squad.

And Ayala's fitness record counts against him...significant that nearly two months after leaving, he still hasn't signed anywhere
