The Summer/Autumn transfers thread 2020 aka TURN DOWN FOR WHAT(more)

I think we should give this young lad a chance as he was impressed when at Grimsby- Rumarn Burrell he were real quick!

I am worried about the lack of signing but I thinking why do we need more players? We have 3 decent enough keeper, fry and hall as our centre back and pray that they won’t pick up injuries and we have Sam stubb and woods as back up, left back we have bola and coulson, right back we have spence, dijkstel

midfielder we have wing, saville, tav, howson, Johnson, brownie,, McNair

striker we have Britt, fletcher and this young lad Burrell whose is 20 year old also walker

with our manager’s experience I sure we will be ok, would be nice if we could sign maybe 1 or 2’ more experience players.
let not panic yet as the season hadn’t started yet! Warnock we trust

Hi guys! PAOK fan here from Greece. You are getting a really hard worker in Akpom. He is a top lad and a good professional. When he first came, he was considered a bench player. It was the 2018-19 sea

Morsy nearly done

Williams fee nearly agreed. 1.75million rising to 2.5 (So 1.75 then 😂).

What formation are you playing with that team though that provides you decent cover? You can't play 442 diamond as theres no proper DM, you can't play a standard 442 as the only width in the midfield are Johnson and Browne who both prefer the left, oh and Tav and Walker can also play wide, but again prefer the left. You could maybe get away with 4312 or 433 but again, in the midfield there tends to be a more specialised midfielder who stays back. and in a forward 3 there tends to be two wider forwards who drift inside

I appreciate what you're saying about giving the youngsters a chance but no matter the formation there are still areas we need players. It's also ok saying the defence is sound but given the amount of cards defenders pick up alongside the injuries that can happen and you could be relying on a CB pairing of Wood and Stubbs for multiple games of the season (if they don't pick up bookings or injuries also) and we dont even know if they're ready for the step up yet, so could probably do with another CB also

Pione Sistos move back to Denmark is on the verge of collapsing. He's on about 15k a week at Celta but that's too much for a Danish club when they also have to pay a fee which is believed to be around 2,5 million pounds. That's a shrewd deal for any team looking for wingers, although the Championship might not be his favoured move after a two start-stop seasons at Celta. Undoubtedly has more talent than most Championship players though. There is certainly bargains to be found on the continent this summer.

He's said that he was very disappointed about how he played in the finals and that had a negative impact on him which affected his form. Celta have been on a downward spiral so he's found it difficult to get back into top form. Seems like a lad who needs a bit of security and a calm place to live. A relegation battle in the Championship might be too hard to handle.

I'd love Sisto, as I've said before, but I don't think it's realistic.

There's bargains to be had in Europe, there's bargains to be had here with proven Championship players too. Macauley Bonne being available for £750k is an example of that. We could do with utilising both markets.

We were interested last summer, so you'd think if Warnock was in the least bit interested in him he'd probably already be here.

Disappointed? I'm sure he played well or am I thinking of the Euros?

I'd definitely be having a look at him and I'm sure Warnock could help the lads confidence, whether he's out of our league or not I don't know.

I loved his TV programme the Sisto Kid. I wonder will he bring his sidekick Pancho with him? 🙃

Definately. Bonne seems like a decent addition at that price.
