Also full of crap British managers and players.

In fact football in general, regardless of nationality, is full of crap players and managers.

Exactly, so we should get good ones 🙂

Hi guys! PAOK fan here from Greece. You are getting a really hard worker in Akpom. He is a top lad and a good professional. When he first came, he was considered a bench player. It was the 2018-19 sea

Morsy nearly done

Williams fee nearly agreed. 1.75million rising to 2.5 (So 1.75 then 😂).

It was the key to our recent success though. Karanka came in and changed how everything was done, changed the staff and signed players that a lot of people had never heard of for reasonable money. People like Nsue, Stuani etc. He even convinced Ramirez to come here.

The way you get players to come to an unfashionable club when you cannot chuck countless £ notes at them, is to have a manager that they want to play for.

I still believe you get more bang for your buck abroad as well, especially on the wage front.

Warnock is a good manager, but does he really appeal to the players anymore? Same as Pulis.

Stop, you're talking too much sense

There seemed quite high percentage of people on here who did not want Kevin Stewart in 1st place but there is also a high percentage now getting angry that kevin Stewart might not be coming here.

This suggests some people are having  a meltdown about a player possibly not coming that they did not even want to come.

What success?  We got promoted with Karanka as manager while he *** everyone off and it all quickly fell apart BEFORE he left.  Look at comparable clubs to us who managed to get up and stay up and then call what we did success again.  There's all kinds of ways to get players, the idea that it's just down to a manager sounds like mid 90's Boro revisited.  You may as well say, look at Burnley, British manager, lots of British players, that's how you get into the Premier League and stay there when you aren't a fashionable club.  There isn't one way to do it but the key to it is simply making good decisions.  That's all it's about, that's all most things are about really.  We've been making crap decisions for a few years and that's the issue.  If we'd appointed say Pep Clotet instead of Woodgate, do you think things would have been great?

Obviously.

It's even worse if we're a hard sell to players that people consider rubbish.

Beat me to it

The reality is that majority of players are on free and they will just go to highest bidder

The 2 and a half seasons in the Championship and the first part of the season in the Premiership under Karanka.

Also some great cup results.

That was success.

The failure was to not back Karanka in the January transfer window, and then to sack him and replace with Agnew.

I honestly believe if Karanka had been left in charge, even if we had been relegated, we would be back in the Premier league by now.
