The Summer/Autumn transfers thread 2020 aka TURN DOWN FOR WHAT(more)

#announcesomeone. Just because I maybe then have some confidence in the ITK people and we will have something productive from 481 pages 🙂

For me. I expected transfers to take time just because we no longer have cash to splash and we had an awful season on top of what ever conspiracy theories people want to add on why a player would join x vs us.

This thread isn't about the transfers... but the memories, friends, and enemies we make along the way ❤️

Is Aberdeen "Far North"?

If so potentially Sam Cosgrove (ST) or Scott Mckenna (CB)? We've been linked with both in the past.

Aberdeen do have a Europa League game tonight, so it'll be interesting to see the team later. Cosgrove is out injured, but you'd expect McKenna to start.

Not forgetting There is no money coming in from the gates for the foreseeable future to pay wages it wouldn't surprise me if it was left to the last moment...if at all

She has worked with Ronald Koeman before at Everton, he personally headhunted her.

Could be off to barca in that case. Or she could just be getting sacked 😅

EDIT: and I see someone has already posted this, fml

I think it was at Southampton where she worked with Koeman. She was fitness coach for youth teams and he promoted her, then she went to Hull after he left. She then joined us at the end of the season before last.

Hope she doesn't go as I have a bit of a crush on her 😍

Koeman took her from Southampton to Everton with him I think.

If we're after Shankland and Sanogo, that would certainly lean me towards thinking we're going with 3-5-2 for the long haul.

Think our formation was 3-5-2 / 5-3-2 in the recent friendly (so I read). Didn't someone else on here suggest Warnock would opt for this formation also, as it'd lessen a complete squad overall vs opting for his favoured 4-3-3.

At this point - with the squad how it is, the types of full-backs we have and the first game around the corner - I'd be surprised to see any formation but this. Either that or 4-3-3 with 3 primarily defensive CMs.

    • Add to that we could probably have signed Bowen instead of Fletcher/Britt.
    • Got to be putting derby to the sword like teams were doing to us last season. Although at least our ex-pro manager last season had done some of his management badges. Sounds like Rooney just has his 1.5 GCSEs (PE and the first half of legal studies - I hear he's helping his wife out). I dont believe you can be an effective manager these days from on the pitch, especially when you're thick as a plank.    It's a shame we won't have fans in the Riverside, I imagine some of the chants aimed at Rooney would have been amusing.
    • Bamford Harrison Braithwaite adama  This was a genuine option 2 years ago. 2 years!
    • A single goal by Huddersfield would have doubled my bankroll, but I'll take the 15,86 £ plus 😛 Bankroll is now 216,33 £
    • Here we go as these Championship games are coming thick & fast & we can put our latest, unfortunate defeat behind us, move on & put another unbeaten run together, Neil Warnock wont let any of the player feel sorry for themselves after Saturdays defeat   And what better way to respond than to have a consecutive home game, they maybe struggling at the foot of the table but if we treat them with anything but respect they’ll turn us over   We’ve had some cracking games with Derby over the years at home, beating them 6-1, 5-1 even reaching our 1st ever FAC SF after winning at the baseball ground but its league points we’re after to achieve our goal of forcing our way in to the playoffs   Our 1st meeting between both teams on Teesside was back in 1903, our last season & penultimate game at Linthorpe road when the mighty Boro won 3-1, which included the final penalty taken on that ground   Since then we’ve met 147 times in total, Boro winning 64, drawing 34 & losing 50   Did you know we have scored 3 hattrick against Derby County George Camsell in 1929 John O’Rourke in 1967 Ravanelli in 1997   Represented  for both teams   Sir Bruce Rioch Colin Todd Ohhhhh Ravanelli Mikkel Beck Malcolm Christie who scored the only goal & very, very late goal at home to Brighton to start our carling cup run Chris Riggott David Nugent Ryan Shotton Ohhhhh Ravanelli Cyrus Christie Benito Carbone
