good extended piece in the Echo, one thing that i missed yesterday was regarding the loan player we had to wait till the end of the month for. Warnock said this

When Warnock spoke to the press around a month ago he said the club’s top loan target wouldn’t become available until the end of August.

A few weeks later that deal is off the table and once again Boro have been forced to look at alternatives.

“The target I wanted, the main loan player that I wanted, I’ve now been told they want £3.5million and don’t want to loan him out,” admitted Warnock.

“I don’t think he’s worth £3.5million so we won’t be getting him.”

Has to be Patrick Roberts. Or maybe Hoilett at a stretch?

Hi guys! PAOK fan here from Greece. You are getting a really hard worker in Akpom. He is a top lad and a good professional. When he first came, he was considered a bench player. It was the 2018-19 sea

Morsy nearly done

Williams fee nearly agreed. 1.75million rising to 2.5 (So 1.75 then 😂).

As exciting as Roberts was at times, his end product was underwhelming too often. Definitely a skilful player but one with an injury record and as good as he was he couldn't nail a definite starting place in a side facing the drop from the Championship in games that we desperately needed to win. Its quite possible that someone will pay £3.5M for him but despite his previous fee I wouldn't have wanted us to commit that sort of investment in him. I think we could make better use of that money.

I think you could put a lot of that down to his lack of game time and consistency. He's got the skill set to excel at this level. I'd really like him back as an alternative option to three centre midfielders. There aren't many players like him around.

Speaking of Charlton I'd love Josh Cullen in as a holding mid his contracts up next summer with West Ham he was one of Charltons best players would be a solid signing.

I really like the look of Cullen, has pretty solid defensive stats and is really comfortable with the ball too.

Van Der Hoorn has signed for Arminia Bielefeld (Champions of Bundesliga 2) on a free.
Kipre has also gone to West Brom.

Both would have great additions to our backline. Obviously I'm not aware of wage demands so they could have been well out of our price range. Both clubs will both be playing top division football too.

I feel Roberts is the kind of player you buy for 3.5 mil and sell for 9-10 after a good season. The only reason not to do so is very high wages.

Kipre only cost £900k, but with Prem interest we have no chance.

Conor Gallagher was better than him (Chelsea loan) and one of the reasons Charlton plummeted was that he was recalled in Jan and sent to Swansea. Would like to try getting him on loan.

That's what Man City thought only in reverse apparently 🙂
