Coulson can't make it onto the pitch ahead of one league 1 player, it would be a travesty for him to be pushed further down the pecking order because of another one.

Bit much to denigrate someone for being a League One player when the highest level Coulson had played in England was League Two before he was thrown in at the deep end.

Was it a travesty that Bola was kept out of the side by a League Two player?

Didn't one of the ITKers say we scouted him when they played Hartlepool up here in the cup but that we weren't particularly impressed.

He'd be cheap cover at WB if we are interested

Yep we did. Recommended by Alan Moore ūüĎć

I could be wrong but I think Randall Williams plays on the right hand side? Coulson just needs to bide his time. A lot of games coming up and his chance will come. And he needs to grab with both hands

Tranfermarkt says left foot.  Wears #11 shirt.  Seems likely he plays on left.

We already have cheap cover at wingback.  What we need is an actual wingback, or even better, an actual left back.

No because Bola is a League Two player himself¬†ūü§≠

He can play on the left but he normally plays on the right and cuts in

If any truth is in the rumour about Randell Williams I would be pleased with it. He looked pretty decent when watching Exeter in the playoffs. Played more on the left side of midfield and had some decent crosses on him.

He 100% is a right sided player. Played nearly all his football on the right for Exeter last season. In their play-off games he was playing as a right wing-back.

I can see him coming in to add competition for Spence.

He played right wing-back in all their play-off games?

I'm a little bit confused.  Left or right?

I'll take your word for it but I certainly don't seem to remember him coming up against Cohen Bramall on the right side of the pitch against Colchester unless I was sleeping and not paying attention... Can't see why we would want a left footed player on the right side of the pitch though, although with this club anything is possible ha.

Think you could have been napping bud, he 100% played on the right against Colchester both times. I watched both games along with the Cheltenham vs Northampton games too (as there was bugger all else on). I could only find limited highlights for the Exeter games against Colchester. But in both videos you can see him lineup on the right in both defence and attack. Rendell is number 11.

    • I think its either Bettinelli's¬†agent trying to rack up interest (which is his job in fairness)¬† or lazy journalism or¬†more likely a combination of the two. Dimi had an incredible record here for clean sheets in a season but it was a similar story to now with the organisation of the defence resulting in the Keeper having little or nothing to do. No disrespect to¬†Dimi but he was hardly the most athletic or agile Keeper I've ever seen in a Boro shirt, although no worse than the medal bedecked one¬†who came in after him which proved how playing behind a¬†good team can make a keeper look great. Most Keepers would do well behind the current Red barrier in front of them. Bettinelli's¬†vocal skills¬†does add to that sense of impenetrability probably as much if not more so than the actual amount of work he has to do keeping shots out. Decent keeper who I would prefer to stay but I would be more concerned about losing Dijksteel, Fry, McNair, Bola, Friend, Howson etc.
    • Barcelona first team players have a agreed to a paycut of ¬£110 Million (per year). This is on top of the squad agreeing to defer ¬£45 Million in bonuses. There was talk at the beginning of this month that if they couldn't cut around ¬£150 Million off the wage bill for this season, that the threat of bankruptcy was very real.
    • As others have said, I would guess that the team that finished the derby game will likely start this fixture, with those who were subbed being introduced late on. The 5 subs rule allows us to comfortably rotate an entire attacking setup. Very useful if you have a good enough manager to utilise it.
    • If you dont mind a short drive get yourself booked into Art La Vey up towards Newcastle. That guy is head and shoulders above most in Boro. Mark at Nothingsacred in Stockton is class if you're wanting some dotwork done
