Hi guys! PAOK fan here from Greece. You are getting a really hard worker in Akpom. He is a top lad and a good professional. When he first came, he was considered a bench player. It was the 2018-19 sea

Morsy nearly done

Williams fee nearly agreed. 1.75million rising to 2.5 (So 1.75 then 😂).

Wing has talent - you don't score as many goals from distance as he does without natural skill. Whether anyone can coach the rest of his game up to an acceptable standard is debatable - particularly passing - but Warnock has a better chance than anyone of developing whatever potential he has.

Remember people insisted Traore was a headless chicken, shouldn't be a footballer, was never going to learn at Boro if he hadn't learned at Barcelona, etc. I know Wing isn't even in the same stratosphere in terms of raw talent, but he could be a useful impact sub as the opposition tire, and he gives defenders a new threat to worry about in terms of shooting from range, which the rest of our squad is pretty awful at.

I'd like to see Warnock work on Wing's overall play this season and then take stock next year. If we really couldn't sell him even at that point, we could always release him at the end of his contract.

I agree you make a good case but Wing is attacking midfielder who should have credentials including reading the state of play, passing and receiving and he lacks consistency in all departments. NW over time may get the best out of him but does he want to invest in a guy who can’t pass especially as he wants four strikers on the books.

I know I'm starting to doubt it now like

Highly doubt Warnock would’ve talked about it openly if it wasn’t a done deal.

It’s a possibility he’s tested positive for the virus and is having to isolate

Or its just no rush to announce it and we're tying up the lose details. Even the gazette are saying its going through at some point this week.

i'd guess that the players not on international duty have a few days off, so no rush as long as it's all sorted for the next team training session

Victor Moses is probably available on loan, perfect for RWB.

Would be nice if Chelsea sent him and Baba our way for a small wage contribution

That would be unreal. Unlikely. But warnock give him his 1st chance at palace and raves about him in his book

    • If Muniz does fall through we really do need to get some players in sharpish We've lost 30 goals from the players who've left, including 6 of our 8 top scorers (assuming Akpom leaves) and so far have brought in 15 goals with Ikpeazu, Crooks and Ameobi  This for a side that's already notoriously low scoring and lacking in creativity What worries me is the absence of links to wingers and attacking midfielders other than Lazaro and a few washed up has beens  11 days till Fulham...
    • What will happen is; Muniz will go to Athletico We will bid for Lazaro We will agree a deal for Lazaro  Fulham will bid for lazaro We will buy Smith from Rotherham
    • Get begging Muniz to join us Twitter link
    • He will undoubtedly sign for Fulham and play for one of the most inoffensive clubs in English football in one of the least intimidating grounds in England.  He won't have a clue though.
    • Yeah that is what I meant. Fulham never technically beat us to Bryan. They beat Villa to him. We were technically not in running for Bryan as far as player was concerned. His 3rd and final choice.
