The Summer/Autumn transfers thread 2020 aka TURN DOWN FOR WHAT(more)

NW says he has been training at Rockcliffe for the last couple of weeks so his knee must be ok now. NW wants to get him so who would argue with his judgement? Not me.

Clubs will be watching our players. Not fancied to do much critics have been forced to eat their words. A successful January can be measured by not who we get in, but more so who we can successfully keep.

Spot on with that post.

A credible but not expensive option is the best way forward to have a decent squad.

And that's it in a nutshell, decent and competative at this uncertain times

Spence is abit raw still but has great pace. Hence why Warnock used him as winger as Dijksteel is the more rounded beast of a RB

£10m plus a sell on clause and they can take him. Oh and loan him back to us until end of season. Thank you.

If we did sell him, I would hope that we don't loan him back.

It's pointless.

He's not good enough to consistently start for us as is, there's even less incentive to play him if he's no longer our player.

Look at what happened with Jack Clarke.

Agree to an extent but he does offer us an option and an extra body in an area where we are not loaded for cover. Plus rather he remains for the season if he does go as opposed to try replace him and integrate a new player.

I doubt they even want him. It's probably just the club touting players around again looking for cash.

Everything doesn't have to be a dig at the club FYI

Same report came up all summer and no bids were made for Spence. He hasn't done a lot to improve his stock so far this season. Only difference is the team is winning.

With that said if there was a high bid for him that would allow us to re-invest in other places then he is likely the player to bring in the money. Ill trust NW.

    • Barcelona first team players have a agreed to a paycut of ¬£110 Million (per year). This is on top of the squad agreeing to defer ¬£45 Million in bonuses. There was talk at the beginning of this month that if they couldn't cut around ¬£150 Million off the wage bill for this season, that the threat of bankruptcy was very real.
    • As others have said, I would guess that the team that finished the derby game will likely start this fixture, with those who were subbed being introduced late on. The 5 subs rule allows us to comfortably rotate an entire attacking setup. Very useful if you have a good enough manager to utilise it.
    • If you dont mind a short drive get yourself booked into Art La Vey up towards Newcastle. That guy is head and shoulders above most in Boro. Mark at Nothingsacred in Stockton is class if you're wanting some dotwork done

    • Knowing the quality of the Daily Fail, they probably have Fulham as the Premiership club wanting him. It boils down to the lad's views on his future, his contract ends there ends in the summer, so everything in his hands, If he does not fancy move, then "agreement on terms could not be reached. If he wants away, not a lot we can do to stop him but there are not that many top rem teams looking for keepers, so it should be fairly easy to work out likely suspects, assuming not jut agent talk trying to get us to make decent offer in future¬†
