Only if their chairman has promised that they'll smash the league. 😉

He may have knowingly broken the EFL financial fair play rules, have a son who leaks incoming transfers by following them on Instagram before they've signed and hired Garry Monk and given him money to spend on lumps of wood...... but even he isn't THAT stupid 😀

Hi guys! PAOK fan here from Greece. You are getting a really hard worker in Akpom. He is a top lad and a good professional. When he first came, he was considered a bench player. It was the 2018-19 sea

Morsy nearly done

Williams fee nearly agreed. 1.75million rising to 2.5 (So 1.75 then 😂).

It's crazy Sheffield Wednesday got a 12 point's deduction for breaking spending rules. Yet are continuing the spending dunno how it's possible or why the EFL never transfer banned them. As they are just going to end up with another 12 point's deduction when they make some more record losses that's guaranteed if they end up in league one

I think they've got loads of money to spend in terms of financial fair play because they've done the same selling your stadium to yourself trick that Wolves, Villa and Derby have all done but the issue with it was that they did it a season too late and tried to claim it was for the season before so were still punished. They have loads of leeway with FFP at the moment because of that stadium sale on their books.

The owner has sunk £60m in.  The club owes him over £60m in loans that he's made to the club.

I think he's actually invested close to £100 Million since he's owned them. Your point still stands but I'm just being slightly pedantic.

weird how the same fable keeps getting trotted out...the words were "we would like to smash the league"..but never let the truth get in the way of a good story

A man in Steve Gibsons position will have issued enough vision statements and official communications to understand the key takeaway from that message would be "smash the league", he will have been under no illusion what the inference was in the above statement. Let's not also forget the man said "we're going with Steve Agnew", who knew the inference was "we're going (to the championship) with Steve Agnew".

and then you wonder why he doesn't issue statements of intention all the time...people have difficult understanding the concept some you win, some you lose...losing streaks come to an end just like winning streaks...just ask Liverpool fans..we just have to hope that we are turning the corner and stop trying to  run before we can walk....we all want the good times back but would you want something you said years ago continually dragged up.....forget that last bit if you are married

666 pages, 1 signing and people still arguing about Steve Agnew 5 years later..

Was Agnew one of the only bald premiership managers? I can’t remember any totally bald ones.

I'm guessing there's no press conference today from Warnock?

Bit strange usually the away teams do their media 2 days before the game to allow for travel and the Watford bloke did his this morning. He hasn't called in to TalkSport in a couple of weeks either probably due to give them a ring tomorrow morning...
