Yes this relegation battle is far better than mid table mediocrity,  we'd have just been going through the  motions on here rather than panicking and bricking it

As if we didn't already have enough to occupy us! I'd have quite happily settled for a boring end of season, for once.

Okay, own up...who went for a Chinese and got a fortune cookie with the message, "May you live in interesting times..."?

Actually what's happened is someone said "god I wish our season could be exciting this year" while holding the monkeys paw.

Lots of changes.

Stojanovic dropped is the strangest one, big opportunity for Pears to reclaim his spot.

What is that lineup? I actually like elements of it. But one of woodgate main criticisms was that he didnt know his best 11, kept changing etc - warnock's ripped it up again.

Why is britt dropped after 3 goals in 4 games? Is dijksteel in midfield?

Dijksteel in the same role moukoudi played the other week maybe?

I just  noticed stoj being dropped, he has been getting stronger each match imo - baffling.

Shotton is out injured and won't play for us again for fear of making it worse.

Makes Moukoudi's departure even worse.

Dropping Stoj surprises me.

Dropping Shotton COMPLETELY surprises me. Never mind, he's injured and played his last game for us.

Dropping Britt (3 in 4) surprises me.

This suggests Dijksteel is either a CB or that CDM Moukoudi played (the latter seems more likely).

I don't know what to feel about this in all honesty..

Interesting... I like that Tav and Roberts are in. Worrying to see Shotton out though as he has been our most solid defender. Not a clue what the formation is.

Stoj injured surely...?

That line up is... Something. Not a single defender on the pitch who I could safely say is half decent and will do well. Reading are a good footballing side and will likely tear us to shreds

Would like to know why Stojanovic is dropped. Thought he was doing okay for us. Pears doesn't fill me with confidence at all seems prone to a clanger or two.

    • I think something similar occurred in Liverpools home kit. Add a tinge of an extra colour and then say it represents the Liver birds then sell it for £99.
    • Just seen them and thought exactly the same. What is the point in the 2nd and 3rd kit as it contains same colours as the home kit?
    • Internationally for us it's until the 5th of October and then an additional 11 days of a domestic only transfer window afterwards running until 16th October. For me we'd be mad to let our glaring needs wait until even mid September though that's why I think it's good Warnock's not waiting around. Been quietly a newsy day on the transfer front for us a name to cross off, a new name's popped up and status of bids clarified by clubs we seem busy at least. Jackett has said they've received no bids for Alex Bass quashing that link down a bit. Morgan Fox is set for stoke. No bids received by Northampton have met their valuation for Goode, Echo say Boro sense silly games afoot and unwilling to enter a bidding war for him. Boro and QPR have agreed terms with Spurs for Luke Amos (nominal fee around 500k)
