Grant Hall.. he is, as yet, untainted.

After the questions about TLF above I thought it maybe worth mentioning that my user name came about as homage to my preferred alternative therapy for supporting the Boro. Decades of following Boro ha

Gotta be Fletcher. Think he's very underrated by our fanbase and has worked really hard to improve his game after a difficult start to his career here.

Its difficult to have a favourite after the car crash of last season where there were very few performances that you could warm to. Disaffection and disinterest is probably my dominant emotions but in fairness that is more to do with the club itself and the direction it was headed rather than the players themselves.

My "current" favourite because of his length of association and undoubted effort and application in that time is George Friend, an honest decent hard working Pro who has taken the club, the fans and the area to his heart and in a genuine non badge kissing way. A perfect role model to other players, young fans and a great ambassador for the club off the pitch.

After that, like a few others I would say Fletcher for the way the lad has battled with a heavy price tag and successive poor management of his abilities. I also have a growing fondness for Dijksteel as I think he has the potential to make his mark at the club and also Tav, again more for "hoped for" potential at this stage.

My current favourite player has to be Tavernier...arguably our most creative midfield player. He seems to make things happen, more often than not. Or at least we seem more likely to score when he is on the pitch.

Shout outs for both Fletch and Britt who managed to bag a reasonable amount of goals, considering how badly we struggled. Imagine what they'd be like in a decent team! I'm just sad it seems like that partnership will be broken up next season.

After the questions about TLF above I thought it maybe worth mentioning that my user name came about as homage to my preferred alternative therapy for supporting the Boro. Decades of following Boro had meant that the effectiveness of traditional medicine just wasn't numbing let alone easing the pain any more.

As a last resort I switched to copious amounts of Rioja followed by walks in the bracing North Sea air (or red dust depending on the wind direction) along Redcar beach to get rid of the residual side effects of the previous evenings therapy session ("Sesh" for short!). I must point out that I am not a trained Complimentary or Alternative therapy practitioner but I do however have a wealth of experience enhanced greatly after last season.

Tav for me. He's been creating a lot of opportunities for us and it's been exciting watching him. He works his socks off. I think give him another season or two and he'll really be something special.

I think Tav is our best player, but to be my favourite there has to be more of a connection. Fletcher is probably my favourite current player as striker is a position I always played and he just seems like a really nice guy

My favourite current Boro player is George Saville because he is a workhorse and a lot tidier a footballer than he is given credit for IMO

Fletcher for me, Saville a close second.

Was Lewis Wing as I've followed him since his non-league days but sadly I don't think we play to his strengths and the way we do play exposes his inexperience as a player at this level.

Friend for me. Been a model pro and a consistent performer. Yes he’s on the downward trajectory of his career but I’ll judge him by his whole time at the Boro and not just last season

 Well done Gorgeous 👏👏👏

Got to be Aynsley Pears, hasn't it? 🤪

Honestly, it's hard to choose as none of them really excite me any more. Those that do, I just think what happens this season to them under this manager and worry rather than anything else, I hope he proves me wrong with them. Coulson in particular, I dread to think what happens if an offer comes in for him.

I guess I'll never stop loving George Friend despite the fact he isn't the player he used to be. He's still as gorgeous as ever, so at least he's got that going for him.
