Boro v Shrewsbury (EFL CUP) 4-3 (Johnson Fletcher(2) Tavernier)r

Recommended Posts

Hello children, gather round the fireplace (not the place on fire that is our recruitment department) and let me tell you a story of pride and glory!
Back in 03/04 my darling, Boro won the Cup of Carling!
Now the (tin)cup has a new name, but Papa still got a brand new pigbag

Listen to that tune to get in the right mood, to watch our team fight good!

This Friday at 5.30 Shrewsbury from League One, will guest The Riverside where you can hear no song...

Which team and formation?
Will we sign anymore players before kick off? (lol)
Will Changing Times continue his nice boy streak?
Can we win?
How far can we go in this cup?

Insert more questions here!

Looking into ways to share my stream, private youtube might be the way to go.

Lets put this into perspective after todays results. These championship teams lost to lower league teams: QPR (to Plymouth) Birmingham (to Cambridge) Huddersfield (to Rochdale) Swansea

Question: Why is the H in Hello in bold?

It’s probably some kind of masonic Viking ritual bringing all sorts of bad luck on the first person to notice it 😱

I imagine that SmogDane was the first to notice it.  Let's all wish him good luck with whatever ill fortune is about to come his way 🥓

                    Stojanovic

               Dijksteel Fry Hall

Spence  Saville McNair Coulson

                          Tav

                   Britt    Fletcher

This would be my team. I’d definitely like to see us play with wing backs whatever the team is

Stoj

Dijksteel Wood Hall Coulson

Wing Howson Browne

Tav

Fletch Britt

In terms o formation that cud be a 4.3.3 with Tav n Fletch either side of Britt or a 4.2.3.1 with Wing n Howson sitting and Tav Fletch n Browne behind Britt.

Wood: I feel with fry not match fit this a good game for him to start. He 18 now and been around first team for 2yrs. Lets see how he does v mid table league 1 opposition. If he as good as we are led to believe he should do well.

no Howson?

I'd be starting him in the league matches, the cups are probably the only game that Wing will start unless he makes a big impression.

Wouldn't be surprised if Fletcher was benched and Howson played the holding role though.

This is essentially another friendly, our players have probably got very low match practise- we need to be playing our best team or well have no chance of hitting the ground running next week. Suggesting resting players a week before the season starts is madness imo.
