Positives -

- a decent point against a side playing well below their individual ability.

- intent, intensity, pressing, ball retention all improved on the previous 3 games.

- mcnair was much more like the paddy of the start of last season

-bettinelli much more confident display- solid and some good saves

Negatives -

- still giving away needless chances at set pieces, look very shakey at the back underr any kind of pressure.

- johnson- obvious one. I cant think fo any contract renewal in my 20 plus years of supporting boro that is baffling and dumb as this. He was a 2 out of 10 at best.

- creativity lacking again. Our chances all came from crosses or set pieces, just no incision or guile whatsoever.

Dijksteel continues to look comfortable, Hall did ok, the captain put a shift in. The whole team kept at it and deserved at least a draw. Paddy MOM

Bournemouth were poor.

why are the subs not used?, coulson for johnson?

We did use all three subs but yeah, that seemed like an obvious change.

Isn't that david brooks supposed to be worth about £40 million? He was awful

He never saw much of the ball, to be fair. I don't think he had a bad game, he just never had a chance, we completely cut the supply to him.

He did nearly plop one in from 25 yards on his weaker foot, remember. Bettinelli made a cracking save for it, was just before they actually got their goal mind.

Johnson and Spence are dreadful wing backs. We're going to get NOWHERE playing with these two comedians out wide. Couldn't cross the street.

I am content, I see the potential additional players could add.
I worry about the squad size, set play and finishing and I trust Warnock to get it right.

Good performance today. Hopefully Browne gains confidence from his goal and hope Fletcher is ok. UTB

size of the squad is major worry for me, to many unproven players as back up or in first team, need think we need 4 more players in but with the way this windows gone would probs take 3 and expect 2 more .

    • Better than I expected if I'm honest. Forest seemed to have more possession and controlled the game for long spells, but rarely threatened the Boro goal. Boro had to chase a lot but looked good on the counter and created the better chances...took 1 but could have had 2 or even 3 with better final balls / finishing. Game got rather niggly towards the end...lots of fouls and a few cards given out. Wouldn't be surprised if there are 1 or 2 reds given 2nd half. Don't think Warnock will have too much to say in the dressing room, beyond more of the same and stay calm - avoid any daft / needless bookings.
    • Britts had a good half, but for me he has to score his header. Free header 6 yards out.
    • I reckon he'll get sent off for a foul on Morsy and Morsy will kick out at him in response, getting himself sent off at the same time.
    • First half done and I have no real complaints. If I was being picky, we could and probably should be 2 up. Forest look dangerous at times and I can see them coming back in the 2nd half.  I'd also target Sow in the 2nd half, he's giving away so many fouls, he'll get a 2nd yellow before long.
