1) Will we win?

2) Should Johnson start?

3) Is scone pronounced S-con or S-cone

1. I want us too. Not sure we will though. 2-2 scoreline.

2. No, but he will.

3. Scone.

These are the kind of games that should be bread and butter for a manager like warnock.

Is this your answer to Uwe's question 3?

I know it is early doors but fourth game into the season, shocking home form to me indicates we really do need a win and probably a good tonic to beat a team that has tasted victory more times at The Riverside this year tham we have.

Thought long and hard about it but to me and for all the obvious reasons this is THE MOST IMPORTANT GAME OF THE SEASON............so far!!!!

Scon for me but often heard scone, mostly from long dead aunties living in Billingham when I had to endure visiting them with my folks (though my Dad was not so keen either)

2-0 win for me. We/warnock obviously wasn't fussed about progressing in the cup, so I'm not too worried about that game v Barnsley. We'll give a better showing of ourselves this time.

Plus, how often does it happen that when teams play each other twice in a short period of time, the losing team from the first game always seems to win the second game!

I'd pronounce it scon. Warmed up, with butter and sugar on. Mmm

Well that statement just put the mockers on us winning.

Poor kid - his scones are probably a bit crumbly after that.

Team for me tomorrow is

Bettinnelli

Johnson

Fry

McNair

Dijksteel

Spence

Tavernier

Seville

Howson

Britt

Akpom

Would prefer Morsey in there but a great sub to have.

Think we will win 2-1

And it's s-con.

Warnock said he needs to train Roberts during international break to play

Other than that though, its a pretty good looking lineup.

Though I might swap McNair and Howson around, to give Paddy more chance to put in some crosses.

    • I think its either Bettinelli's agent trying to rack up interest (which is his job in fairness)  or lazy journalism or more likely a combination of the two. Dimi had an incredible record here for clean sheets in a season but it was a similar story to now with the organisation of the defence resulting in the Keeper having little or nothing to do. No disrespect to Dimi but he was hardly the most athletic or agile Keeper I've ever seen in a Boro shirt, although no worse than the medal bedecked one who came in after him which proved how playing behind a good team can make a keeper look great. Most Keepers would do well behind the current Red barrier in front of them. Bettinelli's vocal skills does add to that sense of impenetrability probably as much if not more so than the actual amount of work he has to do keeping shots out. Decent keeper who I would prefer to stay but I would be more concerned about losing Dijksteel, Fry, McNair, Bola, Friend, Howson etc.
    • Barcelona first team players have a agreed to a paycut of £110 Million (per year). This is on top of the squad agreeing to defer £45 Million in bonuses. There was talk at the beginning of this month that if they couldn't cut around £150 Million off the wage bill for this season, that the threat of bankruptcy was very real.
    • As others have said, I would guess that the team that finished the derby game will likely start this fixture, with those who were subbed being introduced late on. The 5 subs rule allows us to comfortably rotate an entire attacking setup. Very useful if you have a good enough manager to utilise it.
    • If you dont mind a short drive get yourself booked into Art La Vey up towards Newcastle. That guy is head and shoulders above most in Boro. Mark at Nothingsacred in Stockton is class if you're wanting some dotwork done
