Have to say I've been hugely impressed with how organised and relatively comfortable we've looked so far this season.

Any team will have a few scares when the opposition press them really hard or counter very rapidly, but for the majority of games we've looked really solid.

Contrast that with last season, when I was watching games mostly through my fingers and cringing pretty much every time the opposition got out of their own half.

Warnock and the coaches deserve huge credit for turning a shambles of a squad into something resembling a decent football team.

Good post AR. Agree 100%

Comparing how we are now, compared to how we were against Swansea at home is chalk and cheese.

Good post. Very hard to disagree with any part of it. Dijksteel and Bola do look like they are starting to blossom. Warnock did say that he thinks Browne will get game time when we opt to play 433 so I look forward to seeing him get his chance too

I was wondering why Browne didnt start in Johnson spot yesterday. Would have been a great opportunity. Hope he does in the future.

Much prefer him right of a back 3 than a traditional fullback; not sure he quite has it technically high up the field. Having said that, he’s the best right back at the club, so, if we’re playing 4 at the back I prefer him to Spence.

Djiksteel's run at the weekend (shown on Quest) when he went past the Fb on the bye-line tells me he's technically good enough, think the rest will be confidence

    • Birmingham thoroughly deserved that win, controlled the 1st half & scored a good executed goal, maybe we were poor is giving the ball away but they made us suffer for that Morsy can count himself unlucky with his header but we didn't deserve that break at that point  The 2nd half we should have drew level, whether the chance came too soon for Assombalonga or he just done another lack lustre swipe at it, who knows, but that was our only real chance & after that we huffed & puffed without any urgency until the remaining 5 minutes  Friend showed the passion & drive to fight toithe & nail for your team as he rolled back the years for a fantastic performance  We have shown a few times this season when on the verge of jumping in to the playoffs we hit the self destruct button, drop down a bit then come back to get ourselves back in contention & I expect us to do likewise again A setback but something we're not use to C'mon Boro!
    • There were tactics? I thought the plan was to hoof the ball at every opportunity.
    • Well if you think it, it must be true.
    • How can the squad be diminished in value? All the back four, Tav, Folarin, and Watmore are all increasing in value. Probably even Morsy. If we wanted to we could generate funds. Instead for once we are trying to build a squad. The fact some of the youngsters are going out in loan to be ready for next season is a huge positive too I think. Regardless of what happens this season we are much better placed than in recent years. Priory for me is a goal keeper and a good EFL level goalscorer to play alongside Watmore.
    • Brit has until the end of the season and leaves on a free after we paid £15 million. Roberts sits around because NW does not rate him but won’t let him leave. We bring in a goalkeeper we don’t need.  Just missed a target because he signed for some else 10 mins before NW called him (guess that means NW original targets won’t or can’t sign now it’s B listers and hope)  We have a squad that continues to diminish in value which in reality means, we are adjusting to life in the lower divisions, a club the town can afford.  So nothing will change, but did we really expect it would.
