Introduction Nearly 9 months after my last matchday thread  I have fetched my dusty box of gifs from the loft ready for action. Ironically my last thread was our away trip to Brentford last seaso

It is progress. People need to remember where we nearly ended up last season. I can't believe the moaning.

I can't understand how anyone can sit there and say this is the same as Pulis. It is closer to what we saw under Karanka though I still wouldn't say it's really the same. It really goes to show just h

I think with the break coming we can say we are able to compete with anyone in this league. Today and Blackburn are good points however I do think we have missed out on another 4 points in the 2 games by not twisting. I think we have shown we are capable of challenging for promotion, the big concern is missing out on the 4 points could be the difference between automatics/playoffs/missing out completely.

Dijksteel was my man of the match for me today closely followed by Tav.

The trouble is we have one the best attackers in this league sat on the bench in Roberts he would only of came on if we conceded. If we managed to get Bolasie in would he be sat on the bench also?  Honestly all the teams this year in the Championship are kinda rubbish nothing special about any of them. We kinda played the best their is today. But if we want to get promotion we got to convert alot more of these draws into wins!

He is not one of the best attackers in the league.

Before most of the games we've played, most of the unhappy posters have expressed their belief in a worse result than we've actually got, then complained when we have done better than they thought we would. We all know it isn't pretty but it is still 100% better than last year and virtually every player has shown a willingness to work for a result. Maybe I am old-fashioned for thinking supporters should praise the team more than criticise it but some just seem to be obsessed with nit-picking their way through a game. Nobody played badly, some played better than others. The Norwich game will probably be pretty similar to this, but after that we have a run of games where we will be regarded as favourite to win till the end of the year, apart from Swansea and that is when we might see a bit more adventurous play. Everyone has the right to criticise but every now and then, point out something we have done well. I would like to see more exciting goalfests, but this season, the teams are so evenly matched that keeping a decent goal difference could be the difference between success and failure.

I was at work so only caught the last 10mins on the radio. Happy with a point away from home. We seem to have started to find a way to win at home As well so we are going the right way.  It seems we went like for like with the subs, which is fair enough. Blackwell or Warnock did say recently if we aren’t winning away from home we make sure we dont lose. Well earned rest for the lads now 👏🏼👏🏼

As people have said it would have been better to win one and lose the other game this week.

I think the game to bring Roberts on was the Blackburn game which Warnock admitted today he got wrong.

But we can't control the Blackburn game today, at 70 mins today we had a choice to make. I think we could have won today but I think we could have lost as well if we'd opened up too much. Brentford had more quality than Blackburn so I can understand the caution today.

God we are BORING. I will never celebrate a 0-0 draw with that little attacking intent. We used to batter these every time under Karanka, now we're somehow blessed to scrape a point away at the mighty Brentford.

So bored of watching us set up for a draw. Any manager can do that. Stop fannying about and get Roberts and Tav up the pitch in support of 2 strikers. Zzzzzzzz.

little attacking intent? not sure about that, we get bodies forward and on the edge of area etc. we just incapable of doing anything. decent wingers today with the space we had out wide would have had these on toast mate. we are just not good enough. nothing to do with lack of intent.

Good thing that wasn't the question then.

I know it wasn't, mate.  It never is because these questions always focus on the negative outcomes instead of the positive ones.  Six draws or two wins with four defeats.  Why not win some of them instead?  There still seems to be a mindset that if you try to win games you will lose them, not necessarily from you I should add, it just seems to pervade the forum.  We can try and win games and then actually win them.  That's a potential outcome as much as trying to win and losing.

Reminds me of being in the Premier League under Karanka where people were happy with draws and narrow defeats because it meant out goal difference wasn't too bad.  Karanka really did a number on a lot of our fans, didn't he?
