Fletcher is close to signing a new contract.

Can’t believe that people on here are condemning a possible signing because of rumours that he dealt drugs.    One thing or squad is crying out for is someone that can distribute well 😳

Connor Hourihane would be fantastic at this level.

Based on that performance we could do with someone like him.

Also, Warnock has said it’s unlikely we’ll be bringing a new striker in 😤

Warnock also said he does not anticipate a lot of activity.

If we can just add that one wide player it could make a difference.

i dont expect us to finish top 6 but that is no criticism. Hopefully we will continue to improve and give it a go next season.

Now Howson is back I actually think it's the finishing that will do for us. Fletcher is better than the other 2 but won't score 15 goals between Feb and the end of the season. We will miss out due to lack of a clinical finisher. That has to be the priority in the summer. And probably replace Johnson with a better crosser. Or hope Coulson gets his mojo back.

Makes it all the more baffling that we're not going to bring in a forward.

But I guess it's more an issue of finances, which I can understand.

We’ve got Britt, Fletch, Akpom and Watmore, how many more do we need?

We play with 2 of those at once, and Fletch is out injured for at least another 3 games, with no guarantee that he'll stay fit when he is back.

Watmore has always played as a second striker for us, not 1 up top, and he himself is injury prone.

We don’t normally start with 2 strikers on the pitch do we?

Hope it’s just mind games from Warnock but it really feels we have written this season off.

We have stayed up and improved. Might have a brief flirtation with the play offs but no real desire to push the boat out to go up.

Bett, Britt, Fletcher and Roberts off the wage bill in the summer.

Watmore has played as a striker during a fair part of his time on the pitch here.

He's always been alongside another.

He would have started today if fit.

    • We all make mistakes so best thing to do is learn from it. However, you cant go around making baseless labels (or in your case indirectly claiming) someone might have racist tendencies when there no evidence to suggest it does not and not expect a reaction. Being wrongly labelled or it being indirectly implied you are a racist does not and should not affect just the person. It should affect any person with a conscious hence why people rightly defended Neil Warnock on that. Even those posters who are not a fan of his as a manager.
    • Didn't think you'd get a reaction to an obviously race baiting comment? Come on man, you're old enough to know what you were doing.
    • I avoided reading warnocks post match interview over the weekend as I really couldn't be bothered, but just caught up today. This quote sums the man up in its entirety - “I am sure if you spoke to two or three they will say I was the problem. Because they blame everyone else don’t they? That’s natural for footballers. I am not the problem. I have to solve the problem.” He has lost 21 league games since becoming manager 50 games ago and not once has it ever been his fault. Not once has he raised his hands up to say he made the mistakes. It's always other people's faults and he's not even doing it subtly anymore. How anyone can like this man I will never know, he's essentially the Boris Johnson of football.  Also can't blame this "clique" he goes on about either. It's probably the group of players who are sick of playing percentage, luck based football instead of being able to show what they can actually do.
    • I certainly wish I hadn’t mentioned it, I really didn’t expect such a big reaction and such venom from people on here.
