I know.  I wouldn't boo him either.  I'm just cross we didn't recognise what his tactics would be.   We totally played into his hands.

I can just imagine the team talk "Get into em from the off go a goal up and watch the panic"

Think the manager has to take as much flak as the players for today. Lost the tactical battle against Karanka.

Our initial line up wasn't right in the 1st half. Allowed them way too much time on the ball. Karanka then out-manouvered him by subbing on that extra CB who neutralised our own changes.

An off day. We go again.

I think most managers approach games against us the same way. Start bight on the front foot because we find it hard to come back and probably revert to hoofing balls into no mans land.

Still mad about that performance. Can’t quite shake how *** awful we were.

4 points off the top 6 as it stands, with an equal number of games played, it does look like a season where we'll flirt with the play-offs rather than solidify a place.

Still a huge improvement on last season, but frustrating.

It’s fine, we’ll go up next season.

I kept shouting at the tv, keep it on the deck. You would have ithought t was Brum at the top end and us at the bottom of the table.

Shocking Display!

Well treat yourself to one of them new fancy Samsungs then 😉

Yes?

Wages don't stop a virus.

Assombalonga was absolutely anonymous today, I've already said so myself.

I don't get people's hatred for Britt he contributed far more and had alot more touches than Akpom did

Did he contribute far more?

His only impact was to stop Saville scoring.

At least Akpom had a goalbound header blocked by Friend.

I don't hate Assombalonga, but he was rubbish today.

I say let Brit leave. Don’t think he has done near enough to justify his place in the team.

He made alot more runs had alot more movement. Made runs with the ball got into the box Akpom isn't good enough said it before wasted millions signing Akpom. We would of been better using Akpom money to give Britt a new contract.

I'm worried.

I feel confident that Boro should win this comfortably...but whenever I feel that way, they usually find a way to mess up.

So I'm trying to force myself to be pessimistic...

...gonna be a tough one today. Don't fancy our chances...

I'd just like to apologise...my premonition came true (for once)! ☹️

If there is ever a team you want to play when you are on a terrible run it’s Boro. Think I might put the mortgage on a Brum

Not the only one

I don't know what the weird situation is with Roberts and Warnock but it's absolutely infuriating. *** me off no end.

Tav needs to be the first name on the team sheet centrally and in the most advanced position. Stop bloody shafting him out on the wing to make room for 3 plodding central players. We lose so much attacking energy without him buzzing around in there.

The less said about Warnock's love affair with Johnson the better.

    • They're the runners, still think he wants the big lump up top to win the aerials for them to play off. Be surprised if we weren't still playing a very direct style, hopefully just more effectively with an actual targetman.
    • Old school Keeper with a real character. Legs like matchsticks but agile and really good at this level until Jim Platt came along in the early seventies to win the shirt from him. As with Downsouth he was the regular Boro Goalie when I first started watching the Boro at Ayresome Park. RIP.
    • Used to wind up the opposition by lighting a Woodbine if he was having a quiet game...  ran across him a few times when I used to go to away games ..  had a "colourful" vocabulary, but always happy to mix with fans and got pleasure from the number of people that acknowledged him.
    • I think people are giving Warnock the benefit of the doubt because he's done what no manager has done in the last decade and bring in quality wide options. Even Karanka, our best manager in that period, played Stuani out wide incessantly. Warnock has actually signed several players with genuine attacking promise, suggesting that the current tactic of hoof it to the (not very) big man up front may not be his long-term approach. Let's face it, Cardiff did more than hoof their way to promotion under him. With some time to bed in, a front four of Kebano, Bolassie, Watmore and Fletcher is mouthwatering, with the likes of NML and Johnson in reserve. The fact Britt and Akpom couldn't hit a cow's *** with a banjo is holding us back, but I don't believe Warnock would have signed the wide creative players he has if his sole tactic in the rest of his time at the Boro is going to involve asking a s**t keeper to hoof it. There has to be more in his long-term plan than that, otherwise he might as well do what Pulis did and play four central defenders and five defensive midfielders. Surely NW needs the summer to see what sort of tune he can wring from this promising (if currently under-delivering) squad? That's why I and probably others are cautiously optimistic about his contract extension.
    • Indeed he was in goal the very first time I watched a Boro game
