Jolly Boys Outing

Recommended Posts

Inspired by the transfer window thread and Boro’s history of signing ex players I was wondering how many have we resigned in the Gibson era:

Pallister

Cooper

Arca*

Hoyte*

Graham

Juninho

*technically released and resigned.

who else is there. Do we have a starting 11?

off the field we have Woody, Agnew and Leo.

also why is this?

Is it common place in the game?

is boro particularly unattractive?

Meijas?

Why do I always think of Ricky Tomlinson when I see his name?

Is Patrick Bamford allowed in the team? I know the first time was a loan

Wish we had him now!

Stuart Parnaby.

I think Johnson resigned after his contract had already run out?

Bamforď? Or does he not count with the first one being a loan.

Completely forgot about Parnaby having a second spell with us.

I would say Johnson

loads are interesting as that opens the door to Roberts and Fernando Amorebieta. I think they count.

Andrew Davies on loan

Hignett I think had a couple of spells as coach.

Fleming as coach as well

If we're including loans, did Kalas have two loans with us (or was it the other defender we had on loan around the same time)?

Disappointed with the content of this post. Thought we were off to York Races followed by seeing Twin Cheeks.

    • Plays well with a man alongside him. We seen that for a couple of months under Woodgate when he played alongside Fletcher and they scored that quality goal against Millwall. But other than that we haven't seen anything from him so it's hard to say about his strengths whilst at our club. But at Forest and P'Boro his strengths were playing in the poaching role alongside a striker - something which we have never done. Pointless and waste of money signing which is made worse that it's our record buy so we should of done everything to accommodate him and we haven't. Both parties to blame for the failure
    • Get in! England look really slick out the back today!
    • What are Britts strengths though? He’s been here for 5 years and we’ve been saying the same every season. I know he’s played under Monk, Pulis, Woodgate and Warnock but you’d still expect to see his strengths from time to time?
    • Yeah I agree. Got a feeling Warnock will regret it if he starts Britt much more.  Warnock will lose a lot of fans if he continues with Britt imo which is a shame but I understand it.
    • Yeah England can’t blame anyone else for that
