Johnson has been consistent all season and his stats show that.

He’s been ok at best for us when he has played but has had some decent games amongst that or rather some effective games. 3 goals and 4 assists isn’t earth shattering albeit for us it looks more impressive by comparison I suppose. He’s still exactly the same player he has been since he signed for us though.

I swear to God, some of you guys love to swim around in all the agony.  Some of you even swim around on your backs, using a straw to take small sips from the Lake of Agony, then guggeling the nice war

As long as we give him the best boots.

I for one hope Warnock stays next season. Majority of people were happy/expected mid table when he took over. Now we are there and achieving that, you all want him out?  This squad isn’t very good,

Agreed not earth shattering but without doubt the best of a very bad lot. If there was someone more productive or effective then fine but to date I haven't seen who they are.

We lack clinical edge we bossed the game tonight had more shots, more corners and more possession. Yet they scored 3 we only 1 despite 3 times the shots. However Wycombe are winning might not be too bad come weekend we could be joint playoffs. It happens

Very disappointed after that. We're just too inconsistent this season. Better than last season certainly, but it's so frustrating when we have a couple of good performances, think we've turned a corner, then get thrashed by some mediocre team.

Bloody Pearson!

Tbf Johnson does have moments/games where he looks a threat. I believe he’s still the player with most goals/assists this season?

Kebano and Watmore have been our better performers recently though so not sure who he comes in for.

I agree he does have moments when he's a threat because he's quite a direct player and doesn't tend to mess about much with the ball.  It's just that he has a lot of moments where he isn't threatening at all, and is in fact useless, which people seem to forget whenever one of his crosses actually finds one of our players, which happens a lot less than you'd think.

    • Well done Midtjylland, and good luck in the competition, but honestly, Celtic are in a real mess right now. I cannot see how their new manager is the right fit for a club needing root-and-branch rebuilding, and I feel Rangers under Gerrard are going to go from strength to strength this season. Funny (yet also quite sad) how Scottish football goes through these lengthy cycles of one-club dominance while the other flounders and falls apart. I think it'll be a good few years before Celtic win the SPL again.
    • This lad has played around as many professional matches as his age, doesn’t appear prolific, and could be a wonderkid or a pup. I can’t see how they can be allowing themselves to get caught in a bidding war. We have Leo, they have a whole management set up that speaks his language. They have London and all its temptations and we have Yarm. I think we should get off the merry-go-round before the music stops. More and more seems to be going into the hands of the selling club and the risk on the winner. Let Fulham have this project now. The kid seems to want Fulham, lets move on. There will be others with more experience on the planet we can use who are likely to be more dependable from the off.
    • There was a minimum Fee release (which most people thought was half what he was worth).  I know we still owed Villa money but thought they also had sell on clauses (reason villa were prepared to sell for so low) - may well be wrong though.   The South American transfer makes sense as UK based players can have have ridiculous transfer fees that are over inflated and often wage expectations but only if we negotiate a sensible deal and don't get into a bidding war.
    • I'm almost certain we didn't give any of the Adama fee to Villa.
    • I was a lot more positive before rumours of deal contents keep getting leaked.  If we are buying an unproven risk like Muniz then we need to keep a bigger slice of the pie.  Nowhere near as happy giving away 50% of future fee/profit.  I could imagine that we would be in similar position to when Adama left and everyone was going mad at the transfer fee (of which we owed villa a chunk).  For me if we are taking the risk then needs to the be potential for big profit.
