Hi all, Cardiff fan in peace always had a soft spot for Boro ever since seeing your support in Cardiff early doors in the FA cup in the 90's.     Anyway after reading some comments about it

Introduction  I don't know where to start with this thread,  our season appears to be in a state of flux and Boro fans are struggling to know how to feel  We could probably do with a ni

Better team, deserve to come away with something - their goal was very predictable.  Anyone saying Warnock out, ridiculous.

It’s ok, we can bring on Chuba now.
Jokes, probably should bring on Kebano. Not sure if he was dropped because of his height against this side, but we aren’t going to match them there no matter who we play, so may aswell get him on. They’ve got Flint ffs. The lad can’t defend when facing any other way then facing forward.

Very good first 30-35 minutes. They sat in deep, compact and gave us the ball looking to play long into their big men. We had a couple of chances we should have done better with Watmore the free kick spring to mind.

We should’ve dealt with the long throw better than we did. Their first real chance. It’s a decent half other than the goal. I wouldn’t be too critical, we’ve just struggled to break down their compact shape.

Why are we trying to go direct against a team like Cardiff? Only way to beat them is to get the ball down and actually play some football.... Cardiff are loving our current tactics. What's worse is that we have starting line up is that screams out to get the ball down and play. Honestly shocking/dire/mind boggling tactics.

Warnock has no other way of playing. We've seen that over the last 12 months and whatever number of years he's been a manager

I think everyone on here disappointed by that first half but if we can score we can win this still I beleive providing no additional defensive screwups, them Cardiff players looked knackered to me and perhaps that's the reason they are lumping it at every opportunity.  We got to keep cool and play the ball into the box, crossing it constantly evidently is getting us nowhere when we got the ball down and played it in we looked threatening.

When this games gets to 60 min, id put Johnson on and get him to run at them.

Why was bettinelli wrestling someone at the back post for a throw in? Better positioning he surely could have come for that with how long it was in the air.

Come on - you know he can't catch.

And if he'd punched it, the ball would likely have cannoned off someone's head and gone in. 😁

But yeah, it annoyed me the way he just watched it go by him...again...

Cos this is how Warnock wants his football played. It either works like this or it doesn’t but we will be playing like this either way.

Not good enough though is it? No excuses because at times we have played decent stuff over the season but to go hoof ball against Cardiff is just poor decision making.

Just really frustrating mate. You bring Tav back in and then keep same hoof ball tactics. He may as well of had Saville and Morsy playing if he wanted to go down that route

We are actually playing less long balls than normal (looking at the stats). But when we do play them we play them in the wrong areas, like swinging aerial crosses into the box or longballs down the centre.

We need to try and drag their centre halves out of position and pull them into wider areas, the Watmore chance was a good example of that.
