Donnyboro 701
Sure we was linked with Rhys Williams last summer when warnock talked about prem centre back on Loan
Essuuaitch 330
havent we already had a rhys williams . that aussie lad from around ten years ago.
BoroSmoggie 2,710
Do we need Rhys Williams? CB is probably the last position we need strengthening, especially if it’s a loan.
Borodane 6,301
Lot's of bargains this summer I reckon. Left back Casper Højer is joining Slavia Prague for as little as 700k euros. Arguably the best left back in the Danish league, 26 years old and never injured. Contract runs out at the turn of the year, so was always going to be sold cheap. Would have been well suited for the Championship. Wand of a left foot.

We only really have Fry and Hall. I'm still not convinced that McNair should play in defence.

Paddy is certainly quite capable, but given his ability on the ball I do feel he's wasted there.
TLF10 4,496
Isn't Hennessey out of contract at Palace so would be free not a loan. Hennessey signing would contradict that poster who said we in for a GK in his 20s. Unless we want both.

Here's the ESPN link...though you have to scroll about halfway down to find the Spence article: https://www.espn.co.uk/football/manchester-united/story/4360439/rashfords-two-year-battle-through-pain-at-man-united According to Rangers News he's a "very exciting" player and NW asserted he has "enormous ability". https://www.rangersnews.uk/transfer-news/rangers-eye-multi-million-swoop-for-exciting-player-wolves-and-everton-also-keen-report/ I wonder if we should tell them we'd happily let him go for a bag of Haribo Tangfastics...or in their case a box of Tunnock's tea cakes?

We're currently negotiated down to a pear drop after his scooter injured Kebano, didn't you know?
TLF10 4,496
I cant see Rhys happening. If he comes he would be no more than cover and LFC have that thing where they insert a clause that they loan players must play and if they don't there is a charge the club pay LFC for each game they player does not get game time. Is he going to get ahead of McNair and Hall? if the answer is yes (which could be the case) then where does McNair fit? He’s been bang average for the most part when playing in midfield imo, so can we afford to have someone who’s our third most sellable asset (?) sat on the bench? I mentioned it a couple weeks ago in a match thread that I wouldn’t be totally against cashing in on McNair if we needed to generate funds as daft as it sounds after the season he’s had. im just thinking out loud and tbh if we are to go for promotion, then strength in depth is exactly what we need. We’ve seen this season that if we get a few injuries then our starting 11 is no where near as good. Perhaps there is a place for all of them in the squad.

If we could get our money back I'd probably sell and use the money to get a specialised defender and an attacking midfielder.
