Blackburn have signed Ian Poveda on loan from Leeds and he’s expected to make his debut against us on Saturday.

Lets hope he doesn't get off to a good start.

Offer has been accepted bauser has had his critics but he has pulled masterstrokes on both of these.  Now over to you Leo!  Payero small issues look sorted should be an announcement tomorrow or f

Gibson doing a Gibson. Having another punt, pushing for Bolasie, this Argentinian and money available for a couple more. (Not a lot though) Spence going for £5m

Not been keeping up but Sporar should be sorted by Tuesday

We might see Joe Bennet marking him as he makes his debut for us resplendent in his shiny new red mobility scooter.

Can we get back to transfer news now please, I need to know who to plan to have my post transfer window rant at. Will it be Bausor for failing to deliver targets, Gibson for failing to fund enough, Warnock for not realising Payero is the new Messi or Newy for distracting all 3 of them from their vital business in an important week with all his feline frankness. Where is our striker' Left Back and Winger. I need answers and hope for the perfect threesome.

So far I think it's Warnock you'd be blaming. Appearances suggest that NB and SG are doing their best this year!

All two games well thats that then lets get shot. Warnock seems to think the pennies dropped with him but obviously you do not.

Only a personal opinion on a football forum set up to give opinions, chill and go for a walk on the beach

Ah, but talk is cheap. Remember the winter of discontent, January 2017. Promises of flair and creativity through the silky skills of a Bojan, Jese or Snodgrass but instead they delivered Guedioura. They are the form team, they have history, the bookies favourites, but i do smell the aroma of positivity more now than back then.  Fingers crossed Sporar, Burger Van and any left back other than the injured Joe Bennet walk through the hallowed entrance that is Rockliffe Park before the window slams shut.

I accept your point; but my rebuttal would be - we have already brought in one exciting South American for relatively large money, was out bid on another at the last minute & have another 2-3 European based players set to come in!

The January 2017 from memory we were never even close to any of those players, while this summer we genuinely seem to be actually targeting exciting names! Or well, if not exciting...different. We are not the Brexit FC that I have felt we were in recent years gone!

Hope we get Joe Bennett in. Ex Boro lad who cost nowt and went for £4M (when at the time that was a lot of money). If he is over his injury he will be a great backup to Bola.

So what are we expecting to happen today… Sporar to sign? Van Bergen update? Akpom to leave? Spence to leave?

All or the above or nothing? 😆

All quiet on the twitter verse

I think I have a bad case of transfer window-itus. I'm currently spending way too much time scrolling through message boards and Twitter in hope of that bright spark of transfer news. Refreshing pages to see if the latest news is any different from the previous 30 seconds. I have been on my phone so much I have a repetitive strain injury in my thumbs, and my phone screen now has a slight groove along the middle from scrolling. My Mrs can't wait until September so she can actually have a conversation with me(that doesn't involve me speaking about football). By time I have recovered from this one January will be here and it will all start again. PLEASE MIDDLESBROUGH FC ANNOUNCE SOME SIGNINGS AND GIVE THIS POOR MAN HERE A BREAK. 🤣🤡😁

Let’s hope that today is Transfer Tuesday and we get the announcements of Sporar and Van Bergen 🤞

Think we had @Lurker and @Payero both say Sporer should be signing today so fingers crossed. It was very quiet yesterday so at the least I hope for some transfers to actually discuss.

    • I think if we were in the middle of April rather than October we would just be counting the weeks down until the end of the season and a fresh start in the summer. I'm guessing that is the hope of Gibson and Scott. Having to "act" now is not part of the plan and like as not who or what they want isn't ready/available plus they will probably fear the Club isn't prepared.  Problem now is that it becomes difficult if the incumbent Manager loses the fanbase and with it survival in the Championship. Any action taken now will not have been planned or prepared for although I suspect that they may have been at least thinking of a contingency plan over the International Break just in case. Which is best? Warnock goes now and we start a new era half cocked (Typical Boro) or we grind it through to the end of this season with the players and fans becoming increasingly demoralised and toxic?  It's one of those damned if we do and damned if we don't. The best outcome as unpalatable as it feels for most of us would be for Warnock to splutter to safety and then retires while the Gibson/Scott masterplan is developed and then unveiled in a timely fashion. Should he go now I can see Woodgate being handed the reins for the remainder of the season and then heaven forbid then what, another bodged fudge. Perhaps the best outcome for all parties however unpalatable is for Warnock to start Managing, stop scapegoating and start getting some wins and points on the board.
    • I think he has yes. Have you heard he's playing there?
    • Quick question has JLS played left back before?
    • Gibbo must see that it’s worse than ever in terms of morale
    • I’ve felt like this for the past couple games now. Not going to change until everyone associated with this *** negative regime leaves the club. Our manager only ever sees the negatives, from his presser, to his lineup, to the way we approach the match tactically. How can fans expect to be positive when the focal point of the club is nothing but the opposite. All he does is feel sorry for himself and play the victim.
