It's like 17/18 when we signed McNair, Saville, Besic, and then just to be on the safe side, Mikel as well. We've got Payero and Crooks in so far, Peltier can step in to central midfield as well at a pinch, so another one makes a lot of sense when you think about it 👍 1 1 Link to post Share on other sites

However, it wouldn't surprise me if Howson's struggles this season and McNair struggling to play effectively alongside Crooks in CM may have led to a re-think there. Another potential positive of signing Siliki would be that it would help free Tavernier to play more often on the right wing - so maybe that is part of the thought process behind it also.
