I’m confused by all ‘link gate’, soooooo, just to check. Are we allowed our own opinions or are we only allowed to regurgitate other peoples options on Twitter and provide proof via a link? 😁

The frustration for me, if Scott really isn’t involved yet. Where has this sort of recruitment been for the past 4/5 years?! Our best window for a long time

I think we hired a new recruitment guy last summer and a lot of this is thanks to him? I'm sure that's what was talked about on here although (ironically) I can't remember the exact source right now.

If he isn’t then it’s possibly the new analyst that was brought to the club and I believe Gill has been quietly put to one side.

Sigh

In case this is a real question, of course you're allowed your own opinion and at no point has that ever been suggested otherwise.

It just doesn't;t seem the done thing.  Sure they'd get 2-3 million for him if they sold him - someone like forest would take a punt if he does ok at Troyes

And if he doesn't do well they're stuck paying his wages for another year. Nothing I've seen of him suggests he deserves an extension at City

That kind of money is nothing to City. Cut ties free up space in the squad and save whatever his salary is a week.

Safe to say that Sam Jackson has done brilliantly on the recruitment side this summer shows what a horrendous job we let Gary Gill do for the previous 7 years!

    • Swansea average 66% possession every match so I imagine their fans see that sort of game a lot. I'd prefer us to be adaptable and exploit a team's weakness with Long Balls than to try and play right into their hands.  I've seen enough from Wilder's first 4 games that we'll play a modern style of football for the most part. But I'd always prefer us to be a winning team than an attractive team...
    • It's also happened twice in Rangers history (McCoist, McDowell and McCall/White, Waddell and Wallace)
    • Smogsterking is right,  I just googled Celtic managers and before Jock Stein they had the trio of Willie Maley, Jimmy McStay and Jimmy McGrory
    • Writing that gave me flashbacks of Noel Whelan and Andy Campbell.
    • I would love Utd at Riverside so I can take my little cousin to watch Cr7 who he is obsessed with. Cr7 probs would not play but would like to think he on bench and has to come on when we are leading them but his efforts prove in vain as we knock them out.
