Tav has made a few intelligent passes, infact I'm sure Sporars first goal for us was from a Taverniers through ball. He has the ability to do it, just needs to do it more often. I think he's desperate to score and goes for that option rather than the often easier option of playing someone else in.

Yes, it was. That is sort of what I'm getting at though! He doesn't have the brains/decision making to pick them out when he could.

Crooks has a great pass on him too when he wants to, his pass for Sporar (that Sporar missed) vs Hull was incredible.

I'm not so sure he always has better options when he shoots. A lot of the time his shots some after a quick burst past a couple of players and no one else has really telegraphed what he's doing and he ends up having to shoot. Bigger problem than his decision making is how wild those shots tend to be in my opinion, id expect most attacking players to have a go from about 75% of his shots, at least.

I think part of his problem is the very fact that no one else can read him. He bursts past Players but will he cross it? Will he dribble some more and lose it? Will he even look up? Will he shoot and when he does will it like as not end up in Row Z?

The big issue for me is that he doesn't seem to have any awareness of where his team mates are in relation to himself or indeed much desire to be composed enough to think about the next phase of play. He seemingly has little understanding of his team mates, as in say the Payero/Coburn link up against Peterborough.

He has undoubted talent but like many before him is now in real danger of failing to fully fulfill his potential. At 22 years old he isn't "young" in footballing development terms. He will be 23 years old by the time this season finishes, no longer the exciting young prospect with potential, he is pretty much "what you see is what you get".

If/when the new Manager arrives in the Summer with like as not a new philosophy I wouldn't be surprised to see him moved on as he seems incapable of knitting things together which is quite the opposite of what I suspect many are thinking. It's up to Tav as to where he goes with his career, a decent but frustrating Championship mid table player or kicking on to be a Premiership one.

Isn't it in euros which is only £6.7m. I think if he hits 15 goals then it's not the worst deal.

For me he's got great movement and could really benefit from someone in attack being on the same page as him. It's mad how blinded our attackers are at times. Don't know where and when to play a pass and often shoot when they should pass.

It's still early days but he seems to be adapting. I personally think he does a lot more than people realise. But agree with what has been said it will be nice to see how he handles the better opposition in the league.

15 goals and promotion for the deal to automatically be made permanent.

Yeah he's always liked a long range shot - the problem is they've almost all been crap this season. If a few had flown in I doubt we'd all be scrutinising him so much.
