Dan's Summer Transfer Thread. Aka: " Post Mortem Time""

I’m afraid Warnock hasn’t a clue when it comes to signing strikers- with the notable exception of Moore.

So being linked with poor strikers is something we need to get used to. How’s Bolasie doing????!!!

Yeah, it was me that said that and I was wrong, I was going off what I read during Trump's second impeachment trial. Seems the law is slightly different in the USA.

Yeah they got a different system to us mate where the same terminology has different meanings.

I feel with that question what you are really asking is “were you right in your constant criticism of his signing in January? The short answer in my view is you were not right.

Reason being this. I think we look better attacking wise with Bolasie in the team than when he not in team.

And that is not suggesting he been great but in games he been poor the team been poor. In games he looked good we as a team looked capable as well.

Would i look to keep him beyond summer based on what we seen so far? No.

However, does that mean it was the wrong decision to sign him in Jan. Again no.  Because like I said he as, imo, still improved us.

As a criminal barrister can I just add some of my professional thoughts.

I'm sure you're not that bad, mate.

I’m not sure we can take the word off someone who is just really bad at making coffee 🤷‍♂️

Ched Evans... unbelievable!

Please please please *** off Warnock! Feel exactly the same way for the club as I did when Pulis was in charge... absolutely nothing! Bored of putting up with absolutely *** and mundane football. Roll on 2023 when, no doubt, we will have some other dinosaur in charge.

IF Preston are being watched, it is unlikely to be Evans..  think there are likely to be a few other candidates ahead of him on the out of contract list.. especially if we are looking for a new penalty taker

Ched Evans. I mean, you just know its true and this will happen.

Who have Barnsley got in charge again?

Unfortunately he’s not English. If Gibson had the choice of Big Sam, Pep or Klopp, I guarantee he’d choose Big Sam

Echo stating it is looking increasingly likely that Fletcher will follow Britt out the door. If that is the case I would rather not start him for last 7 games.

Just start Akpom and see if he can do anything which changes our mind and also  give young Coburn a run out.

    • The administrators must be worried about HMRC. They supposedly owe them £26m.
    • I presume the continued legal action is to ensure that 9-12 point deduction that they are due for breaching P&S is actually carried out. It's all gone quiet since they went in to administration.
    • Well they're currently on -2 points. Another 9 point deduction would make that -11, which is currently 18 points from safety. That would be a serious amount of ground to make up and would require 3 teams above them to have pretty horrendous seasons, in order to overhaul them. I'd rather see Mel Morris get taken for every penny he's got, or otherwise punished to the full extent of the law. Instead he's wringing his hands and saying he's "sorry" while the club that was under his stewardship could end up going to the wall, if the administrators can't find a suitable buyer.
    • Does Gibson seriously holding a grudge for them outbidding us on Waghorn 😂
    • They haven't actually been punished for cheating yet, which is the whole point of principle for Gibson. They've had a self-inflicted 12 point deduction for administration. They're currently only 9 points from safety, that is far from insurmountable with most of the season left, and the pressure needs to be kept up to ensure they get the punishment they're due.
