Seems a bit too attacking for Warnock that midfield three I would think

Crooks is a proper Warnock player as well, not because he's a carthorse as some may suggest but because he's adaptable, plays in 3 different positions and can run with the ball to get us up the pitch

I can see him playing him playing a few games, like our equivalent of Callum Paterson for that Cardiff promotion side

Gibson doing a Gibson. Having another punt, pushing for Bolasie, this Argentinian and money available for a couple more. (Not a lot though) Spence going for £5m

Really want Payero tied up ASAP even if it just to confirm he joining us after the olympics.

The more it drags on the more it has the hallmarks of a famous failed transfer.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we all end up watching all of his games and he ends up not signing 😂

Matt crooks is a bizarre signing to me. Paying probably over 1 million for him it seems. Would he even be in the first 11?

I’ve never heard of him but I’m trusting Neil Warnock on this one. From what @Brunners sent to me he seems like he will be a good fit in a NW side:

Crooks - who stands at 6ft 4in tall and can play in central midfield, as a No.10 or up top - scored 11 goals as the Millers were promoted back to the Championship in 2019/20, including a brace against Ipswich at the New York Stadium.

Subsequent interest from Nottingham Forest dissipated and he went on to score seven goals and provide three assists for Rotherham in the season just gone, being named Championship Player of the Month for January, as Paul Warne's men suffered relegation heartbreak on a dramatic final day.

    • It's an abandoned proposal from the early 2010s, sadly.
    • Teesside Park is over a mile from Riverside..  you would need Middlehaven (formerly Cargo Fleet)...  Metro just fancy name for local rail services
    • Out of interest is this Tees Valley Metro for real? And if so where is the Teesside Park Station located as it must be very close to The Riverside?
