So my point is (obviously just my opinion) that after how much they played I’m sure City will now look at us and think maybe we aren’t the place for their players to develop. Could possibly argue one or even two not playing but after three I wouldn’t be sending players to us. 

I get your point but I think the issue would be more down to not being selected over style of play, I think they like the idea of youngsters being tested in different environments and styles to get a rounder idea of their ability and mental strength

Very few if any.

That isn't really a thing that happens, outside of big clubs leaking to the media that they're going to have huge transfer 'war chests' to possibly sign Mbappe or Haaland. And even if a club like Boro did try this tactic, they would have done it in May when the summer was still full of potential.

I very much doubt that anyone bought a season ticket for the Riverside on the strength of a story about an unnamed striker that it even said in the article would be difficult to pull off.

Agreed but I was meaning through not selected. Pulis and Warnock didn’t/don’t seem to be any to risk youngsters in that way

Looking forward to the start of the season, but would like us to at least have signed a left back in time for Sunday. We obviously desperately need another striker, but doubtful that’ll be done before the first game
