The figures could simply be wrong but it seems an odd mistake to make as that kind of information is readily available over there I think? I know that undrafted players get much lower amounts as signing bonuses, I'm sure I've seen $10,000 as a figure for one player before, and I got the impression that most of them weren't significantly higher than that. Read an article where it mentioned UDFAs on the Patriots in...2019 I believe it was, and it said their lowest was $14k and their highest was $115k Really all depends on how many teams are bidding for their services I suppose. I know the Steelers signed a UFA with a $25,000 signing bonus this offseason and it was the highest they have ever given out to a UFA. That was alongside a 3 year $2.5m contract though, but obviously only the $25,000 is guaranteed.

Darius Vassell The then Aston Villa striker missed several games after he drilled through his toe nail with a home power drill thinking it would relieve the pressure on a swollen toe. The attempt at DIY surgery succeeded only in giving the toe an infection which required medical attention.

RiseAgainst 3,793
Didn't a footballer break their foot trying to reach a remote control while in bed, or something equally ridiculous? It might even have been a metatarsal, IIRC.
