thatoldchestnut 583
Just now, Brunners said: He quite regularly played as a striker for Rotherham actually, so it's a decent option. Fair enough, but I wouldn't have thought he would be amongst the first three striking options.

As Brunners said, he's played there before and the reason for that is he's supposed to be good at holding the ball up and he's good in the air. Statistically speaking, he may even be better than Ikpeazu at those things. When he played against us at the Riverside, him and Smith were almost interchangeable at the top end so I can definitely see situations where Crooks plays both around a striker and as one, particularly in the situation if Ikpeazu gets injured. If I just thought he'd be a good fit because he was tall, I'd be saying we should have Fry or Hall up there. His height helps but its how he uses his body which is the key thing.

While I often disagree with things you say, at least usually I can see where you're coming from. This one though; this one is just flat out bad.

Personally I hope he stays, but I don't think you can rule it out. Ultimately though Wing has to agree to drop a division for that to work.
Tom 2,492
I'd imagine that Wing is in Warnock's plans for at least the immediate future, or else he wouldn't be starting friendlies. I think it will be partly down his own choice. Whether he is happy to be a squad player here, or would want to start somewhere else.
