Could be a sneaky 352 there with Bola as the extra CB

With the versatility of certain¬†players (Bola, McNair and Tav especially) in that line-up, it could easily be a 3-5-2, a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1! ūüėā

Defeat is absolutely inevitable. No chance we win 3 in a row. None. The Boro will always let you down.

We are going all out to win games now so I'm guessing that it will be a back three of Fry, Hall and Bola with Spence and Johnson as wingbacks. Howson and McNair in midfield with Akpom up top supported by Bolasie and Tav buzzing around him.

Looks 433 to me.

Can't see how you fit Bola and Johnson into the team otherwise. Bola won't be CB as there's already 3 selected in Hall, Fry and McNair.

Could be a Pulis 54..........1 I guess

That's what I was thinking looking at the team sheet too, yeah. Glad to see Tav and McNair both in the side in midfield today.

My only concerns are Tav occuping the spaces McNair took up vs Stoke or PNE, which could potentially hamper McNair, and that McNair isn't deep alongside Howson where Morsy normally is.

My money is on a back 3

     Hall Fry Bola

Spence.     Johnson

     Howson McNair

Tav.                   Bolasie

          Akpom

I would have thought this would be the preferred formation, although I prefer a 433.

We've won our last two games with 433 with fry and hall performing very well in both, it would be bonkers to switch to a back 3.

Agreed but we have one of the most bonkers managers in the business!

Not sure how the formation will take shape, but that looks like a strong starting XI. Plenty of options on the bench, as well.

It's refreshing to see a positive attacking line-up - I just hope Paddy isn't being risked if he's carrying a knock. He's too important to end up aggravating a niggle and missing games (even if we don't play again for a fortnight).

Clearly an all out attack play-off place chasing 2-3-1-4?

The team sheet sent to livescore and ifollow has Johnson as right back in a 4 ... Weird cause Spence is left in a midfield 3 with howson and paddy

    • The administrators must be worried about HMRC. They supposedly owe them ¬£26m.
    • I presume the continued legal action is to ensure that 9-12 point deduction that they are due for breaching P&S is actually carried out. It's all gone quiet since they went in to administration.
    • Well they're currently on -2 points. Another 9 point deduction would make that -11, which is currently 18 points from safety. That would be a serious amount of ground to make up and would require 3 teams above them to have pretty horrendous seasons, in order to overhaul them. I'd rather see Mel Morris get taken for every penny he's got, or otherwise punished to the full extent of the law. Instead he's wringing his hands and saying he's "sorry" while the club that was under his stewardship could end up going to the wall, if the administrators can't find a suitable buyer. ¬†
    • Does Gibson seriously holding a grudge for them outbidding us on Waghorn ūüėā
    • They haven't actually been punished for cheating yet, which is the whole point of principle for Gibson. They've had a self-inflicted 12 point deduction for administration. They're currently only 9 points from safety, that is far from insurmountable with most of the season left,¬†and the pressure needs to be kept up to ensure they get the punishment they're due.
