We are sitting in mid-table, have been out of the play-off picture for a couple of months. There's a huge gap in them not having a shot on goal vs. people on here complaining about us being 2-0 down to Wycombe at home in a dead-rubber whilst naturally thinking about next season. Brentford's next game will be quite soon. Ours will be next season. As often happens in football I find, the new season will begin with more optimism than the current season will have ended with. I know by the time I'm preparing to be back in the stadium I'll have a more positive head on, looking forward to seeing what new players we have regardless of their recent or distant past. But I don't blame anyone for watching this and thinking about next season with anything other than negative thoughts. Am slightly angry now at how utterly feeble and gutless we are...but not altogether surprised.
