Probably the extreme left wing group that promotes violence/looting/defund the police and all that jazz.

I can't remember booing when kick it out do anti racism gestures. In fact did they not that earlier on along with linking arms or something that was roundly cheered? But naa, easier to call everyone racists I guess.

Didn't realise all of the football players who take a knee are left wing extremists.

Ouch 🤣

When you see something like that it makes you think about stuff and I think its an appropriate time to also say how positive this forum is for myself and my mental health and mood.  It’s a great place

The problem with the gesture itself (in my opinion) is that there are no concrete goals. 'End racism' is a noble idea, but how do we know when that's been achieved? Can it be achieved? I wonder i

But that has nothing to do with football's reasons for taking the knee. Just because that group take the knee doesn't mean when footballers do it that it is an endorsement of that group. Frankly if you (not saying you, more of a general statement) can't make that distinction it's laughable.

The bit in bold is a bit strange as I've not claimed anyone was racist. But booing/disapproving of an anti-racist message makes me wonder what other possible reasons people do have to actually boo. Especially when you consider most club's have specifically come out and said taking the knee is specifically not an endorsement of BLM.

Yawn, can't be bothered going round in circles. If you are going to keep with the "taking the knee has nothing to do with BLM the organisation" narrative then we'll have to agree to disagree.

I think the fact that nearly every taking of the knee has been met with opposition while groups like kick it out get supported 100% show it's bugger all to do with race.

So do you think the players are taking a knee because they support the BLM organisation?

Nigel Farage has tried to say it was a stand against Marxism (people have now confused socialism with this term). Unfortunately like a lot things 'extreme lefties' have taken things to the extreme that do divide rather than unite people but at the same time, people who were always against BLM saying all lives matter were the same people weeks later hating the refugees on the boats and the free school meals.

Unfortunately I don't think there is a simple solution to the problem. Football has failed on numerous occasions to deal with racism. Taking the knee hasn't solved the problem but currently is a sign of uniting the players on the pitch.

Anyway back on topic its coming home!!!

Who comes into the 26 now Trent is out?

We don't have any other fullbacks from the 7 that got cut. I can't see him taking Godfrey or White (Cue one of them getting called up), purely because they are more central minded players (and we have 4 of those already).

Is Lingard first reserve so to speak?

I'm sorry but anyone who thinks players taking the knee is them kneeling for the BLM organisation, is a fecking idiot!

a) taking the knee didn't originate with George Floyd and the post BLM org uprise. It started years before. Primarily by Colin Kaepernick - who was given the idea by a military veteran.

b) the players have said that their taking the knee together to support their teammates in the figt against racism - not to big up BLM

c) anyone who shouts Left Wing or Marxist when another group of people do something in the fight against racism, is probably a racist, or at least a moron.

Id say Lingard if Trent is out. I think he was unlucky to miss out initially and I think he is an option rather than an injury back up. Thankfully its probably a blessing for Southgate TAA being injured due to the depth we have there and half the media would complain if he didn't play but at the same time complain if he did play instead of James/Walker/Trippier who have arguably had better seasons.

from a form perspective, it would have to be Lingard

from a squad balance perspective, a Ward-Prowse or Watkins may be a better fit
