Heading away with the good lady wife so won’t be back on before the final. Sincerest best wishes to the ordinary English fans on here. Hope it happens for you 💪

I think for me it's partly about the connection to the area too. I don't hold much connection to the entirety of England but I love coming from Middlesbrough, I've lived and worked in a few places aro

Congrats, friends ...  🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 V 🇩🇰 @ Wembley  ...   Good luck to y'all!

Trippier has been great so far. Finding lots of space and getting forward well.

Kane also looking like a different man compared to earlier in the tournament.

I'm just amazed how comfortable England have looked. Played without fear and just doing what they've done so far.

Shaw's also been great again. Kane's looking like he wants to switch to attacking midfielder.

Everyone's just been doing a really solid job so far.

Few strange decisions by the ref last 5 minutes

He seems to be a lot more lenient than some of the others. Letting a lot more challenges go.

Italy pushing for a stoppage time equaliser. England just hanging on for half time. Getting very nervy.

Really even first half, the goal is the only thing in it really. Neither team creating chances, though England seem to be getting more space when they do get it in the final 3rd.

Damn what a first 45.

The dream start and some good football from both sides...more from England I'd say.

Italy came back towards the end and we were hanging on for the last 10 minutes or so.

Our defence has mostly looked comfortable - think Italy only had a couple of clear shots on target. Rice has been great in midfield. Kane has been brilliant at holding the ball up and playing others in.

More of the same 2nd half!

Good first half. England with a very good game plan and it’s limited the Italians to long range attempts. Can see England getting another one or two even in the second half

We can get at this Italy defence, just the final ball been lacking when we get up there. Have limited them to long shots (and the block on Immobile) and have coped very well with everything they've thrown at us so far.

Big second 45 and we can't afford to sit back like we were the final 10-15 minutes, or they will get through eventually!

I think this is very much game going to plan though. Even when Italy are having a lot of the ball, they're not creating much. Their best effort, like with Denmark, was from outside the box and that's the way we like it.

Having a goal helps as it just means we don't need to worry too much about the other end, we primarily need to focus on keeping this lead and we are winning the battles when we need to 95% of the time. This is probably Rice's best game for England I've seen.

Italy are growing into it, possession and the areas of the pitch where they're getting it especially, but they need to come up with something else if they want to be sure of breaking our lines. When Bonucci has a go from 30 yards towards the end, that says it all. Essentially, how the hell do we break these down?

Yeah, we looked like we started to sit deeper as time went on didn't we? Ideally we want to start troubling them at the other end a bit more but it is our game to lose right now. Keeping them at arm's distance isn't too bad but we need to make sure we don't just sit and let them have the ball for 45 minutes.
