I've had it since last week.

Work has been hectic past week for me so it's hampered my excitement a bit! But knowing I've got a half day (then Wednesday off) has really helped today!!!

Heading away with the good lady wife so won’t be back on before the final. Sincerest best wishes to the ordinary English fans on here. Hope it happens for you 💪

Every England fan last night  (Caution industrial language)    IMG_1425.MP4

Few excellent posts regarding the final and the tournament as a whole. On the pitch Southgate got basically every decision he made spot on leading upto the final. Even the decision to go to a win

I think that Southgates cautious approach will let you down against the Germans. The Germans are right there for the taking. They are slow, look tired and a bit out of sorts with Löw halfway out the door. Get in their faces with some pace and tenacity and you should win, but I think Southgates approach will play right into the hands of the Germans. I hope you make it though

We're on top of this I'm Sure

Just getting ready for tonight..

They are a young squad, they will be stronger next time.
Why didn’t GS pick ——- over ————
To be honest I didn’t think they would go through.
Never really got started until it was to late.
GS should have substituted earlier.
Can’t win games if you play not to loose.
How many side and back passing do you need.
The German wanted it more.
At least we can now expect some decent football.
Anyone but the Germans.

Daily Mail has just released a photo of GS notes..

They are young, will learn and come back stronger.

As a group of young lads they have shown a lot of maturity.

It was a heavy responsibility for young players and they will learn from the experience.

We learnt a lot tonight i will discuss with the team when the time is right.

Many will go on to be better players.

I could not have asked more from the boys, they need time to reflect.

Against all odds they did the nation proud.

Football is about fine margins that just didn’t favour us tonight.

Our record against  bigger teams is not that great, we will need to coach and adapt mentality.

Now is not the time to be discussing contracts.

As a manager I don’t look at it as failure but a building block to greater things.

There is no shame in loosing.
Regardless of what happens tonight I only want to see England play to win, give a good account of themselves and hold there heads high knowing they left nothing on the pitch. Just go out there do your best and I’ll be proud. We can do it!

Only want England to do well yet you've literally done two long posts in a row mocking Southgate and imagining what will we be said if we lose, which you're clearly expecting.

😂

Is any of that supposed to be funny?

Lighten up…it doesn’t need to be analysed and a conclusion,  don’t read to much into it. Dear Lord it’s just a bit of banter to ease tension.

Sky reporting 5 at the back with rice and Phillips centre mid. This is gonna be a hard watch after yesterday's games

Germany play 3 at the back too. I reckon you need rice and Phillips centre mid when up against kimmich and Goretzka in midfield. Would have preferred Henderson or Bellingham over one of them though

It's Papa Lazarou from iconic comedy show The League of Gentlemen so....yes, I guess?

    • For me, we need to appoint a manager with some sort of track record that has a style and philosophy that fits the brief set by Gibson and given to Scott. A newbie would be a huge risk as there is no evidence to back up management style, newbies could be anything. Yes, they can work out, successful managers have to start somewhere, but more fail than make it. A newbie with pulling power like Bryan Robson would attract players on reputation, but without tactical nous and man management skills it can unravel quickly.  Scott will likely be the big influencer for Gibson. His vision needs to fit into recruitment strategy, but also retention,  taking account of the squad we currently have. As said above, while the jigsaw analogy is a fair one, getting the balance right is no easy task. Too experienced a coach and they can be set in their ways, tried and trusted styles that have been successful only work if the players at the club can adapt quickly. I would like to see someone who is early in their management career, with a decent grounding as a manager at a lower level, improved the team or teams he has been at, has drive and ambition to get to the top, but not someone who sees Boro as a mere stepping stone, someone who wants to hang around and be a part of any future success. Someone who has good man management skills and a vision that mirrors that of the clubs forward strategy. As for names, I really don’t have any, I will leave that to Scott and Gibson and place my trust that they get things right between them at the first time of asking.
    • Or as someone who allegedly loved his particularly young fresh Oats so much he was actually named after them once said "I am just going outside and may be some time."
    • Maybe what's happened is the Ameobi Experiment.  We signed him and then tried to make him invisible to opposition players.  Something went wrong with the experiment however, and whilst to anyone looking on we did indeed make him disappear, he is not actually invisible, but has in fact travelled through time to the year 1984.  Or, he has a dicky knee.  Could be either 🤷‍♂️
    • He is being prepared as our new manager next season? 😄
    • I don’t think there is anything in particular going on. My guess is that he is just completely crocked and will not play for us ever
