TBH though that front 3 says a lot and tells me, if we're going back 5, we need Walker and James/Saka in the team. Foden on the right of a front 3 in a 3-4-3, to me, says "Here Robin Gosens, don't worry about defending, just push right on". We need an outlet who's actually gonna stretch them on that side.

Gosens is injured I think. Gundogan and rudiger also doubts

I would have preferred Bellingham over one of rice or Phillips and I would have preferred reece James over trippier, but I can understand it for the set pieces. Seems like we are clearly looking to exploit the pace of saka and sterling behind the German centre backs which are pretty slow

Looked it up and a couple of their injuries, including Gosens, were doubts due to a cold.

Trying not to get excited, as we've been let down on numerous occasions. At home with a raucous crowd behind them, England should be able to finally end this hoodoo. Here's hoping.

Would have liked Saka as a wing back so we could have fit Grealish or Foden in the front 3... but we'll see how it plays out. Not necessarily defensive as long as the wing backs bomb on when they can. Saka and Sterling darting beyond Kane will cause Hummels all sorts of problems. 

Germany players with 'colds' sounds like mind games to me. I expect all three to start.

It might be intended to throw us off or might be genuine but after this tournament so far, no Gosens would be a big miss for Germany and could very well change how England approach the game. I wouldn't expect any player with a reported cold to miss out either, though. I think they'd be willing to take the risk.
