Been told he’s off

Easy enough to write patronising rubbish when you don’t actually support  the club? We are only Middlesbrough after all? Narrative seems to be ‘stop moaning, be grateful for what you have, with a bit

Revisionism and nonsense. 49 goals in a full season under Pulis, 68 and 63 in our seasons under Karanka. We might have been shot shy and moved the ball a bit ponderously under Karanka but we played ha

Really? You’re happy for some posters to pass off information that’s simply not true or at best vague, third hand information as if it’s gospel and not get called out for it?

This is the internet though. You've been on here long enough to know who usually posts stuff that tends to be close to the truth. If someone you don't know posts something, then it's entirely up to you whether you want to believe it, and then in the future said poster might have "proven" himself as someone with genuine info. Personally I take most of it with a pinch of salt as a lot of it is second hand info, but I'm also aware of which posters whave proven in the past to have good info. Just like in real life, you won't belive the guy next to you in the bar, but rather someone you've known for a while.

Of course it would be great if everyone only told the naked truth, but fact is a lot of it will be hearsay and the posters are more than welcome to pass it on. As I said it's the internet and everyone is responsible for their own source critisism.

I'm happy for people to pass on rumours, yes. I come here for the gossip - of course I realise that some is grade A and maybe at other times less so, but that's the point. What I don't enjoy is the people who do give info in good faith (and I think we can tell the difference in most cases) being hounded off the board because something they mentioned didn't come through.

That's the kind of thing which makes us all wish the transfer threads were as good as the old days and wonder why nobody gives us the gossip anymore.

Hey each to their own mate. No one’s hounding anyone. I don’t know how many posters in here have reliable information. I don’t recall hearing anything credible from Payero before and I was wondering if there was something I’d missed because a few posters were taking as truth. I don’t find discussion based on flakey information that great. Carry on by all means.

How do you know its not true though?

At the risk of being shot down, do we really want him gone right now?

Had Sporar's shot gone the right side of the post, McNair's shot beaten the keeper or their rebound off the post gone anywhere other than Lumley's head we might well be hailing a good away win at Hull and three wins in four matches (and getting soaked on the way back to the park and ride would have been less annoying). There are certain things on the pitch that Warnock can't control.

No one was taking it as truth. People were hoping it was true.

I'd have wanted him gone win or lose against both Sheffield United and Hull, to be honest. His credibility is only hampered by bad results right now, for me, not entirely defined.

I enjoy the gossip on here. The transfer threads would be boring without it! I also think there is people on here with genuine ITK info. But I also accept that these things don't always happen for various reasons, but it adds a bit of excitement to the full thing. If there was no rumours and info, this forums number of visitors would be half what it is at present. You can normally tell by the tone and the actual rumour if it is somebody attention seeking or if somebody has genuinely been told something in good faith.

I would concede that his hounding of officials is becoming annoying, Watching the matches I often get the impression that his match day role is to pressure the officials and the the tactical side is being dealt with by Blackwell.

There would be an irony in there, considering how much he complains about the officials and him self-reflecting on that, that his job is to do the very thing that's causing him problems. 😄

its our style that pisses me off, regardless of the result the way we play is ars e to watch. like mentioned by someone else its a percentage style, it will always be hit and miss and pretty inconsistant, regardless of who we have creating. look at our results it doesnt matter who warnock had played we still play anti football and are easily beaten by sides who try and play.

It's not even the style, to be honest - at least as far as I'm concerned. It's more that he's lost the spark himself.

When he first arrived, he seemed to have this way of taking any player and making them feel like a better player. He picked up Bola, Dijksteel, McNair, Tav and Fry and put an arm around them and brought out amazing things from them. Joking that Anf was his favourite, making Tav jealous - there seemed to be an amazing spirit in the camp. At that point it really did seem like players would run through brick walls for the man.

Then, probably around the January transfer window, something changed. He started calling out individuals more and more, and this season there seems to be even more negativity creeping in - hardly surprising that a young player who's moved halfway around the world is looking out of confidence. The old Warnock wouldn't have done that, he'd have made the effort to pick up the kid's spirits.

It's time he went before the rot sets in even worse.
