Boro v QPR 2-3( Ikpeazu, Crooks)

Recommended Posts

Great shift against a decent team.

Ikpeazu... what a man. And Jones is so positive, just makes things happen - also making it bloody hard for Warnock to drop him when the new signings and senior wide players are back.

One minor criticism is I do think we could be a bit more dangerous from set pieces. Payero could be the missing link in that regard.

Speaks volumes when a 21 year old kid with 3 senior appearances is absolutely carrying this team at the minute

He reminds of Downing when he first broke into the team.  I mean different kinds of players of course, different preferred feet as well for that matter, but that instinct to attack his man whenever he

I have just read on another Boro forum that four QPR fans were attacked outside of the ground at full time. Two dads with their their ten year old boys were kicked and  punched to the ground by these

What did the possession end up being at the end of the first half ?

1-0 to Boro and the half has ended. That possession nolonger matters.

I haven't been able to watch but hows McNair doing? I've been disappointed in him in midfield. Feel he takes too long on the ball.

I think he’s done quite well today. Far better when we are on the ball than hoofing it. Set pieces haven’t been too great though

Uche is certainly impressive and is causing problems for opposition defenders which Britt and Akpom didn't do. You can see he occupies their thinking and are worried by him.

Jones is looking like a star signing instead of a development product. Fair play to the lad he seems to be continuing where he left off in each of his previous games. He has the Right side of the QPR defence a bag of nerves as they know if he gets past they are toast.

Spence is looking far more measured and composed and thinking about the game more. Once he settles into that mindset his raw talent can come to the fore again. Crooks is making things tick linking play up between the three of them and its good to watch.

McNair is having a better game than of late but his set pieces are so predictable and easily read.

We're a set piece specialist and some strength in depth away from being a really frightening proposition to play against.

Payero is supposed to be very good at set pieces to be fair
